My Runaway Groom Came Back I Became His Aunt! novel Chapter 37

Chapter 4

Four days before the wedding, I received a vintage wedding gown sent from Italy.

When I got home after the fitting, I found out Father had thrown Vivian a huge birthday bash.

No one had informed me.

Showing up at the party in jeans made me look totally out of place.

One of Vivian’s followers sneered.

“Vivian is leaving for Italy soon for an arranged marriage.”

“She’s so heartless. She can’t even make it to her own sister’s birthday.”

“Of course she doesn’t care. She’s the one who was too scared to go, so she’s shipping her sister off

instead.”

“How could someone like her have any family loyalty?”

It seemed that while I was away, Vivian had once again played the victim in front of them.

I had no interest in dealing with idiots like these and turned to go upstairs.

They glanced at Vivian, got their silent cue, and deliberately blocked my way.

“Why are you dodging us? If you didn’t do anything wrong, why won’t you talk to Vivian?”

“So heartless. If the late Donna knew how nasty you’ve become, she’d probably roll over in her grave.”

Listening to their taunts, I reached for the whip I kept coiled at my waist.

With a sharp crack, I let it fly.

She slammed into the bar counter, and glass flew everywhere. Some shards cut her skin, and she screamed

in pain.

I tightened my grip on the whip and sneered.

“Now that’s what I call nasty.”

The guests froze in shock. A second later, the hall erupted into chaos.

“There’s blood! Call a doctor!”

“Isabella has gone crazy! That’s assault!”

Whip in hand, I turned and walked away, ignoring the chaos behind me.

Vivian came to my room soon after. Hatred filled her eyes as she glared at me.

“Why did you ruin my birthday party? Is this revenge? You volunteered to marry into Italy!”

“You’re about to join the obscenely rich Andreotti family, while I have to stay behind and take care of Father for you…”

I laughed coldly and pinched her cheek. “I volunteered?”

“You’re nothing but a mistress’s bastard. All you know are cheap tricks.”

“You think the Andreotti family is some kind of garbage dump that takes anything?”

“If they’re not happy, they’ll just send you back.”

“As for taking care of Father…” I squeezed harder, and Vivian’s face went pale.

“You know damn well who takes care of who. Don’t give me that self-righteous crap. It’s sickening.”

She didn’t dare argue and stormed back to her room.

Soon after, Vivian suddenly screamed and ran out again.

Several slender red snakes slithered behind her.

“I know you aren’t happy I moved into your room… but you could have just talked to me. Why did you have to

scare me like this?”

“I… I can’t breathe… my asthma… it’s flaring up… I feel terrible…”

Her face flushed red as she collapsed onto the floor.

I watched coldly.

She was pretending again, trying to frame me.

“Vivian!” Liam rushed forward and pulled her into his arms.

He looked up at me, furious. “Isabella, have you lost your mind? Frightening an asthma patient can kill her!”

I felt a chill run through me. “You actually think I did this?”

Liam clenched his teeth. “If not you, then who?”

“Vivian has always been kind and gentle. She wouldn’t hurt anyone.”

“But you? You keep snakes. You even raised a tiger. There’s nothing you wouldn’t do.”

“You already planned for her to take your place. She couldn’t even fight back, and you’re still bullying her!”

“If something happens to her, who’s going to marry into that family for you?”

I was furious. I grabbed one of the snakes and threw it at Vivian’s face.
