Chapter 415
I could already feel my brain working, as I rolled my neck, “His companies?”
“All of them.”
“Family?”
“Untouched,” Vincenzo answered immediately, “His wife and daughters stay clean. I’m not him.”
That narrowed the field. I walked toward the monitors slowly, already pulling systems online. Corporate databases, private banking mirrors, offshore movement trackers.
William Whitmore’s entire digital life started unfolding across the screens in front of me. I leaned forward slightly, eyes scanning financial movement patterns.
“There,” I said quietly.
Vincenzo stood immediately. A Cayman account flashed onto the monitor, then another, then another. Layered foundations hidden beneath environmental redevelopment grants, government laundering channels, political kickbacks.
And underneath all of it, human trafficking payments. Hidden carefully between shipping contracts.
Adriano’s face twisted instantly, “Oh, that’s ugly.”
Very ugly.
I kept digging.
More accounts appeared. Private island transfers, escort routing services, judges getting paid through fake consulting firms. Whitmore hadn’t just been cooperating with the government. He’d been buying them.
I leaned back slightly in the chair. The man was dead already, he just didn’t know it yet.
“He’s dirty,” I said calmly.
Vincenzo stared at the screen quietly, “How dirty?”
I clicked another file open, pictures filled the monitor. Young girls entering Whitmore’s private jet. Different cities, different dates but same handlers.
Adriano’s expression went flat, “Well,” he muttered, “Looks like we’re ruining a billionaire tonight.”
I looked toward Vincenzo, “Do you want him bankrupt first,” I asked evenly, “or suicidal?”
Vincenzo smiled then, “Both.”
Vincenzo kept staring at the monitor for another few seconds after the last file loaded across the screens.
Pictures.
Bank transfers.
Politicians.
Girls.
Enough dirt to bury Whitmore ten times over.
