Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies novel Chapter 310

Chapter 310: Successful

After a moment of silence, Yao Ran said in a heavy tone, "The nuclear power plants around the world must have exploded because of the earthquakes."

Long Yu's expression grew serious at her words.

Although 600 mSv of radiation can cause changes in blood cells, the blood system typically recovers quickly. However, global changes have led to early mutations in human bodies. Combined with the effects of nuclear radiation, these mutations could even transform living beings, creating new species.

As the two of them pondered these implications, Li Tianyu finally woke up.

"Ugh..."

Hearing his low groan, Long Yu and Yao Ran turned to look at him. Seeing him open his eyes, Long Yu stepped forward to help him.

"Captain Li, how do you feel?" He asked.

Li Tianyu shook his head slightly and replied hoarsely, "I'm fine."

Sitting up in bed, he paused for a moment before looking down at his chest. Seeing it fully recovered, Li Tianyu froze in shock.

Noticing his reaction, Yao Ran said, "Captain Li, congratulations. The treatment was successful."

Her words snapped Li Tianyu out of his daze. His eyes lit up with excitement as he asked, "Miss Yao, do you have more of that medicine?"

Yao Ran nodded, "I still have some left."

Hearing this, Li Tianyu's expression brightened. He stood up and said urgently, "Miss Yao, there are many other soldiers in the same condition as me. Can you help them, too?"

"Of course," Yao Ran nodded, paused for a moment, and then added, "but first, can you check if you still have your earth-element ability?"

Li Tianyu nodded, and then he opened his palm. After a moment, a pile of soil appeared in his hand.

He frowned, inspecting it closely, and muttered, "Strange... the soil feels different from before."

"What's the difference?" Yao Ran asked.

Li Tianyu thought for a moment before answering, "It feels stronger and denser."

Hearing this, Long Yu and Yao Ran exchanged glances. Without the need for further testing, they both understood that Li Tianyu's ability had likely improved after drinking the lake water.

After confirming the lake water's effectiveness in curing deformation, Yao Ran stood up and said, "Captain Li, you mentioned there are other soldiers in the same condition as you. Can you take me to them?"

Li Tianyu nodded, "Sure."

After putting on his clothes, Li Tianyu led the two of them out of the barrack. They walked for over forty minutes before arriving at the slum area.

Before entering, Li Tianyu stopped and cautioned, "Cover your faces and don't speak. This place is dangerous."

Yao Ran nodded and took two masks from her backpack, handing one to Long Yu and putting the other on.

After they covered their faces, Li Tianyu wrapped a scarf around his face and said in a muffled voice, "Let's go."

"Close the door. We will talk inside." Li Tianyu replied, walking into a small living room.

As the man locked the door, Yao Ran and Long Yu noticed several men gathered in the small

living room.

When the soldiers saw Li Tianyu, they immediately stood and saluted. "Captain."

Li Tianyu returned their salute with a nod and smiled, "Take a seat."

The men exchanged glances before sitting on the floor. Li Tianyu turned to Long Yu and said, "Captain Long, the accommodations are modest. I apologize for making you sit on the floor."

Long Yu removed his mask and replied, "It's fine."

Once everyone was seated, Li Tianyu said to his subordinates, "Everyone, this is Captain Long Yu and his girlfriend, Miss Yao."

The soldiers' wary expressions eased slightly when they heard Long Yu's name.

After a moment of silence, one of them, with a swollen arm, curiously asked, "Captain, why did you bring Captain Long and his girlfriend here?"

Li Tianyu replied, "Brothers, I have come with good news today."

Feeling curious, the soldiers exchanged looks for a moment and waited for him to elaborate. A man with deformed ears couldn't wait and asked, "Captain, what is the good news?"
