This was her go-to tactic.
Just like how she had snatched their child away from Carman's mother recently, using the baby as leverage to drag out the divorce proceedings.
Carman fell silent for a moment.
Jasmine smugly thought her threat had worked.
But a second later, Carman replied, "Fine. I'll leave with nothing, but I get full custody of our child."
Jasmine practically lost her mind. "Carman Holt, in your dreams!"
She lunged at him, grappling with him right there in the hall.
That was the exact moment Crystal and her group arrived.
She had come hoping to watch Noreen be humiliated, only to find Jasmine making a fool of herself.
Her excitement instantly evaporated. Looking over at the vibrant, bustling atmosphere of Noreen's ballroom in the distance, her eyes dimmed with gloom.
Did that many people really show up?
As she frowned in confusion, Nancy suddenly spoke up, her voice filled with delight. "Dylan?"
Crystal's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly snapped her gaze toward the entrance.
Dylan Wilder was rushing in, looking as though he were pressed for time, taking long, urgent strides.
Because of his pace, he completely missed Nancy calling out to him the first time.
Instead, he made a beeline straight for Noreen's ballroom.
Nancy had to raise her voice. "Dylan! Over here! You're going the wrong way! Crystal's party is in this hall, not that one!"
Dylan paused mid-step and finally glanced over at Nancy and Crystal.
The forced smile on Crystal's face completely shattered the second Dylan started walking toward Noreen's event.
