Alaric walked over but didn’t disturb Emma. Instead, he went to Corvin first and quietly slipped a rare ore into his hand.
Corvin looked at the ore in shock. Just as he was about to speak, Alaric covered his mouth.
He quietly pulled Corvin outside and whispered in his ear, “I need to talk to Emma about something. For the sake of this ore, could you handle your own business for now?”
Corvin immediately nodded.
“No problem.”
Even without–the ore, he would have left if Alaric had asked.
Alaric then reminded him quietly, “One more thing. I was supposed to cook tonight, but I have something to do. Can you cover for me?”
“I thought it was something serious. No problem.” Corvin agreed very easily.
After all, the ore Alaric gave him was the same rare ore Andre had previously given Emma. It was something Corvin had been searching for. For this reason, not only would he cook one meal for Alaric, he would do anything Alaric asked.
After sending Corvin away, Alaric returned to Emma’s room.
Lucien and Kieran looked at him but said nothing.
Alaric walked to Lucien first and quietly handed him a potion. He whispered so only Lucien could hear.
“This is a medicine I made last night using Beast God’s fruit. It can improve the talent of the two eggs and also help them hatch.”
Hearing his words, Lucien looked at the potion in his hand and narrowed his eyes at Alaric. Without saying anything, he turned and left the room.
Alaric liked talking to smart people since Lucien immediately understood his words.
After sending Lucien away, Alaric looked at Kieran. The latter smiled and shook his head before standing up and leaving.
He didn’t want to leave, but he owed Alaric a favor.
Once everyone was gone, Alaric walked over and quietly closed Emma’s door. Then, he sat down beside her.
He didn’t disturb her and simply watched her carve.
Emma had very skillful hands. Now that she was a Rank 11 elite, the wood felt almost like clay in her hands, so carving wasn’t difficult for her.
As wood chips fell away piece by piece, a light–blue liger beast gradually took shape.
Alaric had already guessed it was Corvin.
Although Corvin was a bit of a blockhead, he was truly fortunate. Even though he didn’t know how to charm Emma, she still treated him fairly and never placed him last.

After some time, Emma’s wrist started to feel sore. She set down her tools and was about to rub it when someone grabbed her hand.
Alaric’s fingers rested on her wrist, gently massaging it. A faint energy from his fingertips slowly seeped into her skin.
“Alaric?” Emma looked at him in surprise. “When did you come?”
She had been so focused at carving that she hadn’t noticed him at all.
“Just now,” Alaric replied softly with a smile.
“Where are Lucien and the others?” Emma asked.
“They all had something to do, so they went to take care of it.”
After finishing her right wrist, Alaric began massaging her left one.
“Where did you go this morning?” Emma asked curiously since she hadn’t seen him all morning.
“Gaejlard and the others weren’t fully cured last night, so I went to treat them again.” While speaking, he continued gently massaging her wrist and looking at her. “Emma, does this feel better?”
His gaze was too intense.
Emma felt her face grow warm under his stare.
He was dressed in white, looking like an untouchable immortal. However, after getting to know him, she realized he was nothing like that. He was domineering, cunning, ruthless, and extremely bold with his words.
“Much better.” Emma looked away and tried to pull her hand back, but Alaric held it tighter.
“Emma, are you feeling shy?” Alaric’s intense gaze locked onto her face. Seeing her slightly flushed cheeks made his smile deepen.
“Why would I be shy?” Emma refused to admit it. She had seen plenty of tricks from men, so there was no way she would be embarrassed so easily.
“If you’re not shy, why is your face red?” Alaric asked with a smile.
“Moreover, why are you looking down instead of at me?” As he spoke, he gently lifted Emma’s chin so she had to face him.
With a slightly aggrieved expression, he asked, “Have you already grown tired of me, Emma? Do you not want to look at me anymore? Or do you think my face isn’t handsome enough?”
Emma knew he was pretending to look hurt and felt that he was extremely cunning.
“Yeah!” Emma said boldly while looking straight at him and nodding firmly,
