No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 494

Sewell Ferguson glared at Claudia, gritting his teeth, but he was at a loss for words, knowing she was right.

Jessica Stone pointed a finger at York, her voice laced with fury. "We were truly blind to have ever agreed to let Claudia marry a scumbag like you!"

York was numb to it all.

He walked painfully over to Jessica and Felix Watkins, lowered his head, and said, "I'm sorry."

Felix shoved him away, causing York to stagger backward.

"If you have a shred of conscience left, you'll stay far away from our Claudia and never bother her again!" Felix demanded.

Seeing her son in such a fragile state, Wendy quickly stepped forward. "It is our family's fault. We've wronged Claudia. I failed to raise my son properly. I apologize on his behalf."

Peter, sensing the escalating tension, gave Darleen a look. "Claudia, let me take you all home to rest."

Claudia helped her parents leave.

As York watched her get into the car, his feet moved uncontrollably toward her. "Claudia…"

SLAP! Sewell struck York hard across the face. "You worthless fool!"

York's body swayed violently from the blow, and Mark rushed to support him.

Sewell jabbed a finger at York's nose, shouting, "For a woman, you abandon the entire company! Have you lost your mind?"

Wendy tried to reason with him. "York, you and Claudia have reached this point because of your own actions. Since you two aren't fated to be, just let it go. Stop all this madness!"

Old Mr. Ferguson, who had been silent with a face of stone, finally issued a command. "This is getting more and more disgraceful. Look at you! You don't look anything like the heir to the Ferguson family anymore!"

He continued, "Now that you're back, let's put this matter to rest. Prepare yourself properly. You'll be engaged to Marcia at the end of the month."

"York!"

Sewell and Wendy froze in shock.

Old Mr. Ferguson's cane clattered to the floor as he, too, began to fall.

Luckily, the butler was quick enough to catch him. "Sir!"

Sewell ordered the driver to get the car ready.

He pointed at Mark and roared, "Tell me! What the hell is going on?!"

Mark dared not hide it any longer. "Mr. Ferguson has been suffering from severe gastritis and angina since the divorce. Without the madam's medicine, he hasn't been able to sleep for a very long time."

Plucking up his courage, Mark declared, "Sir, President Ferguson, if the two of you keep forcing Mr. Ferguson to give up on the madam, you will be forcing him to give up on his own life!"
