No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 512

With that, Claudia stepped into the elevator.

That weekend, Claudia invited Gideon and Fidelia Harvest over to her family's home.

The moment Fidelia arrived, she caught Rock Sayer lounging lazily on the Watkins' sofa, scaring him so much that he bolted back to his own house next door with only one slipper on.

Gideon was helpless against his sister. "Claudia, maybe you should have Fidelia over less often. Her personality is a headache for everyone."

Claudia, however, found Fidelia's outgoing nature charming. "Gideon, don't be so harsh. Fidelia has a great personality."

Checking the time, Claudia invited Gideon to stay for a game of mahjong that afternoon.

As soon as Gideon agreed, Claudia started making calls to round up players.

When Hawley emerged from one of the rooms, Gideon looked at Claudia in surprise. "This kid...?"

"It's the weekend," Claudia explained. "I brought him over to liven things up."

Hawley saw Gideon and walked over politely. "Hello, Uncle Gideon."

Gideon picked him up. "Why didn't your dad come with you?"

"Uncle Gideon, I'm not a guest," Hawley replied with perfect seriousness. "Aunt Claudia said her home is my home."

"See?" Gideon said to Claudia. "This little guy is even sharper than his dad."

Just as they were laughing, Peter arrived. With Rock Sayer, they had a perfect group of four. Fidelia and Eddy watched from the side with Hawley.

He took a short video and posted it to his social media feed.

A few minutes later, York saw Peter's post.

In the video, Claudia's parents were in the open-plan kitchen, cutting fruit. Claudia, Gideon, and the others were playing mahjong, while Hawley sat beside her, feeding her snacks. The child said something that made Claudia laugh with genuine joy.

York played the video again and again.

It used to be just like this whenever he visited the Watkins family—warm and lively. He, Claudia, and Eddy would relax in the living room while her parents cooked delicious food in the kitchen. He was often quiet, but Claudia's parents treated him like their own son, always asking after him. Eddy used to idolize him, always asking for his opinion on everything.

Now, the Watkins home was still warm and lively.

But that warmth no longer had anything to do with him.
