No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 611

York glanced at his watch, canceled his morning meetings and all other appointments, then gave Peter a call.

Just past ten in the morning, York and Peter arrived at the airport.

Peter looked down at his pajama pants and slippers. "If you wanted to see her off yourself, why'd you have to drag me along as a third wheel? Are you insane?"

Before Peter could finish, York was already walking straight toward Claudia.

Peter was speechless.

He had pulled an all-nighter and had just fallen asleep when York’s call had yanked him out of bed. He’d thought York's plane had crashed or something, so he rushed over without even changing his shoes. He never imagined it was just to see Claudia off.

To think that a man of his stature, the second son of the Louis family, was wandering through an airport in slippers and pajama pants. He had never been so embarrassed in his life. Peter finally just took off his suit jacket and threw it over his head to hide his face.

Claudia was a bit surprised to see York and Peter. "What are you two doing here?"

She reached out and pulled the jacket off Peter’s head. "Peter, what is this...?"

York snatched the jacket from Claudia's hand and tossed it back to Peter. "I heard you were leaving for a while, so I rushed over to see you off. Didn't have time to change."

Peter shot York a smile that was anything but friendly.

Claudia smiled and stepped forward to greet them.

York shot Peter a look.

Peter didn’t get it at first.

York cleared his throat and gave Peter another pointed look.

Peter seemed to get the hint, though not entirely.

He slung the jacket over his shoulder, stepped forward, and gave Claudia a hug. "Safe travels. Give me a call when you land."

A boarding announcement echoed through the terminal, and York reluctantly released her.

Claudia glanced awkwardly at Peter. "I'll call you guys when I land. You should get going."

She grabbed her suitcase, turned, and hurried away. She still preferred the cold, emotionless York, the one without a trace of warmth.

But now that Ann was back and had met with York, perhaps by the time she returned from Caledon, she'd be invited to his wedding.

Peter stared at York's dazed expression and remarked with disgust, "You dragged me out of bed this early just for that one hug?"

York looked Peter up and down. "You should probably put that jacket back over your head."

Peter was speechless.

About ten minutes later, they were in the car.
