Ruth quickly helped Laura to her feet and shouted at the bodyguards outside, "Are you all blind? Didn't you see your boss getting attacked?"
A group of black-suited bodyguards with tattoos rushed in.
Ruth glared viciously at Noelle and ordered, "Ruin this woman's face. Let's see what she'll use to seduce men then."
She hated Noelle with a passion, believing that if not for her, Laura would definitely have married Cedric.
Noelle positioned herself to protect Mia and Grace behind her. At that moment, Eugene walked in and addressed the bodyguards, "Take it outside if you want to fight. No need to make a mess here."
One of the bodyguards stepped forward aggressively, "Who the hell do you think you are—"
He took a punch and collapsed to the floor, unable to get up.
Mia walked over to Ruth and warned, "There are security cameras here. Want to bet I can make the Merlocks' reputation even worse?"
Ruth was reluctant to back down, but Laura tugged at her mother's arm. "Let it go. The Liddells can't do anything to us anyway. Let's leave."
Ruth glared at Noelle one last time. "You just wait."
After Ruth and Laura left, Noelle finally said, "The Merlocks never change their spots, do they?"
They had been on their knees begging the other day, but now that they had a slight advantage, they showed their true colors.
Mia sighed, "They'll get what's coming to them."
His stream of compliments, delivered with enthusiasm and apparent openness, didn't match the intimidating man from the photos. However, Noelle knew this man was definitely not as friendly as he appeared on the surface. Otherwise, he wouldn't have worked with the Merlocks.
Noelle maintained a calm, distant attitude as she took the only empty seat next to Carl, who was naturally seated next to Bradley.
Bradley looked at her and raised his glass. "Ms. Liddell, what happened before was all a misunderstanding. I'll punish myself with this drink as an apology to you."
He also poured a glass for Noelle. However, Carl took that glass and said, "Noelle is still young. I'll drink this for her."
"That's fine. I really envy Ms. Liddell for having so many brothers who care for her. After this drink, we're even, alright?" Bradley asked with a smile.
Just then, the door to the private room burst open. Laura rushed in, looking disheveled, and glared fiercely at Bradley. "You bastard, what do you think you're doing?
