Cedric turned his head and locked eyes with Carl. Their gazes met, but the atmosphere between them was far from friendly.
Cedric then said, "It won't be a problem no matter how expensive it is."
Carl snorted and replied, "I'll have my assistant get in contact with you later."
His arrogant demeanor made it clear that he did not take Cedric seriously at all.
Alfred was furious, but he ultimately said nothing about the matter. After all, Carl was the only person who could help save Emma at that moment.
He could not afford to offend Carl.
Noelle let out a small breath of relief as she realized that the matter had been settled and Emma would soon be saved.
Just then, Carl turned to her and asked, "Are you free tonight?"
She looked at him and replied, "What's up?"
He smiled and said, "It's nothing. You just haven't been home in a very long time, and everyone misses you. If you're free, why not come home for dinner?"
Noelle was instinctively trying to resist his offer.
Frank then chimed in, "Yeah, Noelle, we're a family. We may have had a lot of misunderstandings in the past, but whenever you asked for something, we've always given it to you right away."
Cedric squinted his eyes and said, "Can you stop guilt-tripping her?"
Blake protested, "How is that even guilt-tripping? We're just giving her a suggestion. We're not forcing her to do anything."
Frank looked at Noelle and continued, "Noelle, we just want to have a meal with you, that's all."
Carl explained, "It's fine if you don't want to. As for the Greene family, I've already promised you that I would help, and I will follow through with my words."
Noelle pursed her lips and replied, "I'm busy tonight. How about tomorrow?"
Carl let out a sigh of relief. "Sure."
It was only then that the Liddells finally left. Blake still looked unwilling as they left. He believed that Noelle should have gone home with them.
