No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 1132

Cedric looked at the document in his hands. "I'll pay the island for the antidote formula at market price. I don't take things for free."

Even though Carl hadn't asked for money, that didn't mean Cedric would accept it without paying a cent. Carl had put on that whole act just to elevate Noelle's position.

Noelle nodded. "True. We don't need to owe them anything. We should pay whenever we can. It's not like you're short on cash."

Cedric could solve any issues if money were involved.

Cedric lowered his gaze to her. "But Carl wasn't wrong about one thing. I only got the antidote formula because of you."

Otherwise, the Liddells wouldn't have agreed so easily with how strained the relationship between their families was.

Noelle shrugged. "I told you, I'll play nice, and you'll pay for it. Besides, after the way they treated me, some compensation is the least they could do. I don't feel guilty, and I won't feel like I owe them anything."

She wouldn't be easily manipulated in this lifetime.

Cedric called the hospital director over and handed him the formula. "We've got the antidote formula."

The director nodded. "Excellent. Then, we can begin treatment immediately. No more worrying about Mrs. Greene's condition."

Cedric nodded. "Thank you. I'll leave it to you."

The director hurried off with the formula.

Noelle stared at Cedric. "I can see you've got dark circles under your eyes. Have you been sleeping well lately?"

Cedric pulled her into his arms and murmured, "I've missed you."

They had finally made it to each other after everything they had been through. But instead of enjoying peace, more problems had arisen.bThey barely had time to see each other, even when they were both at Maple Enterprise.

Noelle wrapped her arms around him. "I've missed you, too."

Cedric lowered his head to look at her. "Why don't you move in with me?"
