Noelle's expression became a little unnatural. "Oh, it's nothing. An eyelash got into my eye just now and it took me a while to get it out."
Emma held onto Noelle's hand. "I see, as long as you're okay. If you feel any discomfort, you should go and see a doctor right away or have the family doctor take a look at you. You shouldn't take your health lightly. Our family isn't short on money whatsoever, so there's no need for you to suffer."
Noelle nodded. "I know. Thank you."
She looked at Emma with worry in her eyes.
She realized that she would have likely been fooled by Emma if she had not accidentally found out about how painful Emma's treatment was earlier.
Despite going through such a painful experience earlier, Emma was now able to speak to Noelle calmly without any signs of distress.
Noelle did not expect Emma to be able to put on such a convincing act.
Emma looked at Noelle and said, "Let's go home and have something delicious for dinner tonight. Our family chef is amazing. You'll know what I mean when you try his cooking."
"Sounds great. I'm already looking forward to it."
After resting for a while more, Noelle accompanied Emma to handle the discharge formalities before returning to the Greene residence together.
When Noelle finally saw the Greene family's manor in front of her, she had nothing to describe it other than pure extravagance.
She wondered if she was witnessing the very display of wealth and power of the super rich.
After the car entered the estate, Noelle helped Emma out of the car and saw several housekeepers standing in two rows in front of them.
The housekeepers greeted, "Welcome home, Mrs. Greene and Ms. Liddell!"
Noelle had never seen such a grand display before. It felt a bit over the top even.
Anastasia came out in a wheelchair and smiled warmly at both Noelle and Emma. "You're both finally back. Come inside! I've prepared gifts for the both of you."
She held both Noelle and Emma's hand, one on each side, and continued, "Here's my daughter-in-law, and here's my granddaughter-in-law. I'll have no regrets if I can live to see my great-grandchild."
Emma let out a light cough. "Mom, you shouldn't pressure them too much. Let the young ones enjoy their life for a little longer. It's fine if they don't have kids right away."
