No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 650

Noelle wasn't sure how the Merlock family was connected to Xenia's father. She worried that the investigation would alert them. So, for now, she refrained from making any reckless moves and focused on keeping an eye on Xenia instead.

She just needed to wait. Xenia was bound to make a move soon.

The bitch was gradually losing everything. After the scandal at the banquet, her dreams of marrying into a wealthy family had been utterly crushed. Now, she had no choice but to cling to Wyatt.

Noelle reflected on her own situation. Unlike Xenia, she had gained so much. Friends, love, and a thriving career.

The next morning, when Noelle went downstairs, she heard Xenia and Wyatt flirting in the dining room. Upon entering, she saw Xenia sitting in Wyatt's lap with a flushed face.

Disgusted, Noelle grabbed a sandwich from the table and turned to leave, unwilling to subject her eyes to such an unpleasant sight.

"Stop right there. Who said you could leave?" Wyatt held Xenia in his arms, clearly in a great mood. "Where are your manners? Shouldn't you at least say greet me and your sister-in-law?"

Noelle turned back with a smirk. "I've never been good at saying nice things."

"Then you should learn," Wyatt retorted.

Xenia, with a smug expression, chimed in sweetly, "Forget it, Wyatt. Noelle has never liked me. I won't hold it against her."

Noelle's gaze landed on Xenia before she suddenly asked, "Did you take a morning-after pill yesterday?"

Xenia's face turned bright red. "Wyatt, look at her! Why does she have to ask something like that?"

Wyatt immediately scowled. "Noelle, mind your manners! That's none of your business. Xenia and I are about to get engaged. We'll just have the baby if she gets pregnant."

Noelle laughed. "Are you sure the child would even be yours?"

Wyatt scoffed. "Noelle, stop spouting nonsense! Of course, I'd know if it were my child!"
