No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 765

Xenia nodded and said, "Noelle doesn't get along with the family after all. She wanted nothing more than for the Liddell family to get into trouble and force you to beg her for help."

Frank immediately retorted with a warning. "Shut your mouth, Xenia! Noelle's not that kind of person.

"You'd better stop driving a wedge between Noelle and us. We wouldn't have ended up like this if not for you!"

He really disliked Xenia now. If Xenia did not have any use, he would have kicked her out long ago.

A hint of mockery flashed across Xenia's eyes. "Frank, I haven't done anything to Noelle for all these years. It was you who treated her badly!"

He was so furious that his chest started to ache. "Xenia, you ungrateful bastard! I can't believe I used to think that you're much more sensible than Noelle!"

Xenia started to cry. "But of course! I'm adopted, so I had to be extremely careful while I tried to win you all over. How would I ever dare to mistreat the only daughter of the Liddell family? It would be suicide!"

Frank replied, "Weren't you the one who schemed against Noelle again and again? Remember when we held a banquet to celebrate you being officially adopted into the family?

"You claimed that Noelle pushed you into the lake, and we believed you. To make things even, we also pushed Noelle into the lake and even made her give you lots of gifts as an apology! Have you forgotten about all of that?!"

She replied with an innocent look on her face. "I haven't forgotten. But it was you guys who pushed Noelle into the lake, saying that she needed to be punished. You were also the ones who made her give me the gifts as an apology."

Frank was so angry that he could barely stand. Because everything that Xenia had just said was true. They were the ones who had done all of it.

His face became twisted from anguish, a look worse than that of simply just crying. "The way we've treated Noelle for all these years was nothing short of disgusting. We're worse than animals!"

Donovan was visibly shaken after hearing what Frank said. His feeling of guilt toward Noelle grew even more.

He muttered, "I remember that I was the first person to hold Noelle when she was born. I even said that she would be my one and only sister."

But when did everything change, he wondered. It had all changed when Xenia came into the Liddell family.

Donovan fell silent upon coming to that realization. It was he who had brought Xenia into the Liddell family.

Cedric just informed her that Mrs. Merlock had revealed the location of an underground casino Sean frequently visited. The underground casino included some men who were capable of laundering huge amounts of money.

As such, they might be able to find Sean if they kept an eye on that casino at all times. A gambling addict like Sean would not be able to stay away from the casino for too long.

Noelle left her bedroom and headed downstairs. She saw that Xenia was clinging desperately to Wyatt's leg while a few housekeepers were standing nearby, seemingly ready to take her away.

Xenia looked up at Wyatt pitifully. "Wyatt, I was wrong. Can we stay together and live out the rest of our lives in peace?"

Wyatt was the only one who could still help her at that point.

Wyatt seemed rather pleased with Xenia begging him for help. He turned to Donovan and said, "Donovan, Xenia's only doing all of this because of Sean threatening her to do so.

"If you really want to get revenge, you should be going after the Merlock family instead. What's the point of punishing Xenia?"
