No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 804

Noelle could feel the warmth of Cedric's palm and the intensity in his eyes. It made her feel a little overwhelmed. She lowered her head.

"I'm not blind, you know. I can see everything you've done."

Cedric was starting to lose his composure. At that moment, the car came to a stop. He glanced outside, and his expression softened a little as he said, "We're here."

Noelle looked out the window. "Did you catch him?"

Cedric looked at the person in the passenger seat, who finally turned around and replied, "We caught him. He's over there."

Noelle's heart tightened instantly as she nervously gripped Cedric's hand. "I wonder if that man has had nightmares all these years."

He'd killed her parents and lived in hiding ever since.

Cedric responded by holding both of her hands and saying, "You'll find out soon enough. Do you want to question him yourself?"

"Of course. If you guys ask, he probably won't say anything."

Cedric gently said, "They might seal their lips shut, but the guy we caught earlier is still hanging around in the casino. Sooner or later, he'll talk."

Everyone had a weakness. Sooner or later, they would all crack.

"But Mr. Q is strange. He must have known Thomas had been missing for a long time, yet he stayed in the car dealership all this time. Is he that confident we won't find him?"

Cedric nodded slightly. "I thought that was strange, too, unless he never got the money."

"That's impossible, isn't it? Didn't the money get transferred away? It most likely ended up with him."

Noelle couldn't figure it out either. If Sean hadn't gotten the money, who had?

Noelle continued, "You must be surprised to see me, aren't you? Let me guess, you thought it was the Merlock family who kidnapped you, and that's why you insisted on talking to the mastermind, right?"

He fell into silence and didn't say a word.

Noelle stepped closer to him. "You know who I am, so don't bother playing dumb. You even sent someone to the Liddell residence to help Xenia kill Gordon."

"I didn't expect it to be you. Tell me, how did you know about my plastic surgery?" Sean had thought he'd covered his tracks well.

"Of course, it was Xenia who told me. She described your features, and that's how we got the sketch."

Noelle opened her photo album and showed him the sketch.

When Sean saw the sketch, his expression changed drastically. "You forced her to do this, didn't you? I'm the one responsible for what happened back then. If you have a problem, come to me!"
