No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 873

Laura looked up at Cedric with a smug look, having finally gained the upper hand over him.

He had never told Noelle that he was in the car during the accident, which meant that he was still scared to tell her the truth.

There was no evidence about the car accident, as the Greene family had covered it up for the Merlock family.

Cedric would never be able to truly clear his name of the car accident.

Stoic, he turned to look at Noelle, yet his eyes were filled with a mix of emotions.

She then saw Laura's face twisting with rage and hatred.

She could not help but laugh. "Laura, is there anything else you're good at other than trying to sow discord between others?"

"Don't you want to know what he's been lying to you about?" Laura tensed up.

"No."

"You're lying. You clearly want to know as well."

Laura was taken aback by Noelle's calm demeanor. She could not understand why Noelle could be so calm and collected about this.

She wondered if Noelle genuinely did not care at all.

Noelle clicked her tongue twice and replied, "As I said, even if he did lie to me, it's a matter between us. Your attempts to drive a wedge between us are useless."

She had fallen for Laura's tricks once, and she would not be fooled again so easily.

Laura glared at Noelle before turning toward Cedric with a pitiful look, hoping to win some sympathy from him.

She did not believe that Cedric and Noelle's relationship could really be as strong as they claimed to be.

However, at that point, Laura's face was swollen beyond recognition, making her look ridiculous even as she tried to put on a pitiful look.

Mia could no longer stand it. Pulling a hand mirror from her bag, she held it up to Laura. "Are you sure you want to put on a pitiful look when you look like this?"

When Laura saw her reflection in the mirror, she screamed and covered her face before running away.

The rest of her men also began to leave the scene once she left.
