The car soon came to a halt by the roadside.
Noelle and Mia were just about to get out when Eugene stepped out first and stood by the car door.
Noelle looked up at him and asked, "What's wrong?"
Eugene glanced at an approaching car and his tone turned serious. "Someone's coming."
Mia followed after his gaze and immediately recognized a car that belonged to her aunt, Salena.
Mia said, "The Cantrells are here. They must've figured out that something's wrong with the contract."
Noelle raised an eyebrow and replied, "They'd have to be pretty stupid to have not figured it out by now."
The two of them exchanged a glance and got out of the car. They knew that this day was bound to come.
Now with Eugene by their side, Noelle was not as worried.
Sure enough, the car in the distance drove straight over to them.
Salena got out of the car aggressively, her eyes already red with fury the moment she saw Mia.
She gritted her teeth and snapped at Mia. "Mia, you actually teamed up with that homewrecker to fool me?"
For Salena, Ivy was nothing more than a lowly mistress not worthy enough to even be considered part of the family.
Noelle scoffed and replied, "You're seriously calling others names when you're employing tactics just as shameless and vile? You really are a hypocrite."
She had long been furious at Salena for what she had done.
Salena grew even angrier. She pointed at Noelle and yelled, "And you! It must be you that helped them, isn't it?"
The homewrecker would not have been so bold otherwise.
