No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 910

Though Cedric hadn't said a word to Xenia, she was determined to make Noelle suffer even more than she herself had.

Why should Noelle get to be with such a rich man and live such a comfortable life? Wasn't she, Xenia, just as excellent in any way?

Resentment burned in Xenia's eyes as she continued, "Noelle, Cedric didn't tell you any of this, did he?"

Noelle felt a chill run through her body. It was true she didn't know that Cedric had taken Xenia away last night. He'd kept everything from her.

Right now, she didn't know what the truth was or who she should believe anymore. She asked, "Why did he take you to the Merlocks?"

She recalled Cedric saying Emma was sick. Had last night's meeting been the case?

Xenia sneered. "Obviously, to confront Mrs. Merlock and warn her not to reveal that the Greene family was involved. Otherwise, he'd make the Merlocks suffer."

Noelle lowered her gaze. Did it mean that Emma was involved in what happened back then?

Cedric had been a student and was far too young to participate in commercial warfare. Emma was the only possible culprit from the Greene family.

A hint of mockery flashed in her eyes. Cedric had never once mentioned being in the car. Had he intended to erase all evidence of the Greene family's involvement from the start?

The grin on Xenia's face grew wider with delight. "Think about it, Noelle. Doesn't it all make sense? He's been using you from the beginning, and now that you're worthless to him…"

Noelle clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her palm, but that pain couldn't compare to what she felt inside.

Tilly finally spoke up. "You're lying. Mr. Greene isn't like that."

"Oh yeah? Where's he now? Isn't it obvious that Noelle is no longer useful to him? The Merlocks have promised not to mention the Greene family last night, so what's the point of him showing up again?"
