To Noelle, the hatred over her parents' death was a debt that had to be repaid with blood, no matter who was involved and the reason.
When Noelle spoke those harsh words, she felt her heart shatter into pieces. She had never imagined that one day, she would have to target Cedric.
Frank noticed how devastated Noelle looked and felt deeply distressed. "The truth still isn't clear, Noelle. You don't have to jump to conclusions."
Donovan snorted. "It is clear enough. What Xenia said made a lot of sense. I always thought it was strange that someone like Cedric would take a job as a lowly school doctor.
"Plus, something's obviously wrong that he suddenly returned to Yasnia after Noelle's college entrance exam."
Frank sighed. "But I believe Mr. Greene genuinely treats Noelle well."
Cedric might have ulterior motives at first, but it didn't seem like everything was made up.
Xenia scoffed. "If he didn't act sincere, how could he have made Noelle fall in love with him? How else could he soften her heart toward Mrs. Greene?"
"Enough, Xenia. Stop talking!" Frank furiously snapped. Right now, every word she said rubbed salt on Noelle's wounds.
However, Xenia refused to shut up just like that. "Even if I keep my mouth shut, that doesn't change the truth. You'd still be in the dark if I hadn't spoken up."
Her lies continued piling up as she exaggerated. She figured that since Cedric and Noelle were over, Noelle wasn't going to confront Cedric after this either. There was no way the two would ever end up together again.
Just the thought of it pleased Xenia.
Donovan shoved her toward Wyatt. "Keep your woman in check. Make sure she doesn't run her mouth."
Wyatt held onto Xenia and shot her a warning gaze. Thanks to the prosthetic limb Noelle had designed, he was now able to walk. It'd proven far superior to anything from the Liddell Corporation.
