Noelle looked up at Mia in surprise after hearing her question. She fell silent for a short while as she thought about the Greene family. "I don't want to know anything about the Greene family."
"Alright, then, I won't talk about it. You won't have anything left to do with them anymore anyway," Mia replied.
She was also shocked to learn that Cedric had been inside the Merlock family's car during the incident all those years ago. She wondered if he had an ulterior motive in mind to be approaching Noelle.
Only one possibility came across her mind, but she did not dare to say it out loud. But whatever it was, Mia could tell that Cedric genuinely cared about Noelle and that his feelings were genuine.
Noelle was bound to be furious after having just learned that Cedric had been deceiving her all along, so there was no point in talking to her just yet.
Grace walked up and hugged Noelle. "Don't be sad, Noelle. It's not a loss to have slept with such a handsome man anyway. You've got to look forward to your future now. There'll be even more handsome guys waiting for you in the future!"
Noelle was stunned. "We haven't actually slept together."
They made it to the final step last time, but they did not go through with it because they did not have protection at hand.
Grace chuckled and replied, "Then that's even better! That bastard didn't get what he wanted. He's going to be the one that regrets this."
Noelle just lowered her head and said nothing.
Grace continued, "It's only normal to be angry after he lied to you. Don't overthink it, Noelle, and don't let it control you, either. What matters the most now is getting justice for your parents. Everything else is secondary."
Noelle nodded and replied, "You're right."
Grace saw that Noelle seemed as if she was doing fine, but as she exchanged a glance with Mia, both of their eyes became filled with concern for Noelle.
Nobody could have thought that Cedric would be connected to the death of Noelle's parents. Until the truth came to light, nobody would know if there were any hidden details or agendas behind what had happened back then.
When Noelle left the room to go to class, she noticed that a lot of the other students were looking at her and discussing something.
Grace held her arm and whispered, "They're probably gossiping about your situation with the Merlock family now that the media started reporting about it. The general public may not know you, but everyone on campus knows who you are."
