Cedric replied, "I've actually already given my statement at the police station back then, along with agreeing to testify in court. If you want, I can go with you to the detention center."

Noelle recalled the last time she ran into Cedric at the police station. She saw Cedric along with Liam there, and she thought that Cedric was there to help Emma. She did not expect that she had misunderstood Cedric.

Noelle gripped her phone tightly. "Alright, when will you be free then?"

"A bit later, around 11 o'clock," Cedric replied.

"Okay, I'll see you at the entrance of the detention center then."

Noelle looked up at the bare tree beside her and pulled her coat higher up. The weather had suddenly turned colder. She then called Frank and told him to bring Xenia to the detention center on time.

Frank replied, "Alright, I'll make arrangements right away."

Donovan's voice came from the other side of the line as well. His words carried an edge to them. "Cedric agreed to testify that easily?!"

Noelle replied with a tone of sarcasm. "What, you think he's like you guys? Always going back on your words and bargaining for better conditions?"

Donovan's expression sank in an instant, but Frank had already ended the call. Frank turned to Donovan and said, "Donovan, can you stop talking to Noelle like that?"

Donovan replied, "What about it? I'm her older brother. Can't I even say anything to her?

"I'm sure you know the state our Liddell Corporation is in right now. Even the court summons from PZ Group have been sent to our house. What do you think we should do?!"

Just thinking about it made Donovan furious again. He turned to glare at Xenia and continued, "And you still want money from me?! You already embezzled so much from the company, and your dad wasted it all! You're going to owe our family for the rest of your life!"

Xenia kept her head down and did not say anything. She could not deny the fact that she had embezzled the money after all. If the Liddells decided to press charges about it, she would end up in prison as well.

Frank frowned and said, "That's enough. The most important thing now is for Mr. Quigley to hand over the evidence so that Mrs. Merlock can be properly punished by the law."
