Cedric rolled down the car window and happened to see Noelle sitting in the car while Jeremy reached out to touch her head. The scene looked undeniably intimate.

Cedric's gaze turned ice cold at that moment. He could not help but press the horn, sending a sharp sound through the air.

Noelle was startled by the noise, looked up, and met Cedric's deep and dark gaze. Her heart started beating faster as she instinctively pushed Jeremy's hand away. Doing so, however, only made her feel that she had just drawn more attention to herself.

Jeremy was surprised. He turned around and noticed Cedric's arrival. He then calmly spoke up. "Don't get the wrong idea. You just had something in your hair."

He then opened his palm to reveal a small piece of dried leaf.

Noelle was stunned. "It probably fell down from a tree."

"Yeah. Don't misunderstand that I was trying to touch you or anything, alright? That's not something I'd do."

Jeremy then took a few steps back and continued, "Since Cedric's already here, let's go."

Noelle got out of the car and saw Cedric standing beside his car, dressed in a sharp suit that emphasized his tall stature. He looked just as elegant and handsome as ever as he did in her memory.

Cedric stared at her with a deep and unreadable look in his eyes. Jeremy walked ahead of Noelle, deliberately blocking Cedric's line of sight. He spoke up casually. "Long time no see, Mr. Greene."

Cedric looked at Jeremy with a displeased expression. He pursed his lips as he straightened his back. "It has been a while."

"I'll give this case my full effort and attention. If the Greene family has any concerns, you're welcome to reach out to me anytime," Jeremy replied.

Cedric's tone remained icy. "It's fine. I'll have Liam contact you if there's anything."

He then stepped past Jeremy and walked toward Noelle.

But Jeremy immediately blocked his path. "You can speak right here. My client doesn't have any hearing problems and can hear you just fine."
