From the outside, Noelle saw Xenia climbing up the windowsill while muttering something about dying. Wyatt began to panic. "Frank, what if something really happens to her?!"
Noelle looked over to him and said, "Don't worry. Nobody does it better than Xenia when it comes to acting."
"How do you know she's just acting? What if she's doing it for real?"
A trace of mockery flashed through her eyes. "Weren't you all completely fooled by Xenia's acting back then? If it weren't for me, you all would still be getting played like a fool."
With that, every single one of the Liddells lowered their heads in shame. They all knew that what she said was true. Wyatt did not dare to say anything more at that point.
Noelle continued, "All we can do now is bet that Mr. Q really does care about his one and only daughter. If this fails, we'll have to come up with another plan. It'll also mean that we've been played by the Quigleys once again."
After hearing that, Donovan's expression shifted drastically. "Damn the Quigleys! If they trick us again, they'd better not blame us for what we'll do!"
Noelle looked over and asked, "And what can you do about them anyway?"
Donovan looked at Xenia sitting on the windowsill and said, "I'll make them pay!"
Wyatt cried out in panic. "Donovan!"
Frank pulled Wyatt back and said, "Things aren't as over as it seems to be. Xenia will be able to pull it off. We've all seen how good she was at acting all pitiful."
After some time, Xenia finally came downstairs. Jeremy stood by the window and waved at Noelle, who let out a sigh of relief and said, "Looks like we have a deal."
Judging from Jeremy's expression, it was probably good news.
The Liddells turned around and headed back inside while Cedric stood by the doorway and quietly watched over them. To be precise, he was watching over Noelle.
Frank wanted to say something, but he hesitated and ended up not saying anything. He just continued walking back upstairs.
Noelle was at the tail end of the group. She immediately saw Cedric when she looked up. She came to a halt, and his voice came from ahead.
