She was exhausted. Seeing that there were still two boxes of books left, she told him, "Head back for now. We can finish this tomorrow."

Though they had both eaten earlier, he extended an invitation. "Let's grab a bite in the city before heading back."

She nodded, not refusing.

The downtown restaurant wasn't busy at this hour, but the vibe was perfect. A smooth blues melody played, instantly relaxing them.

The laid-back atmosphere of the restaurant seemed to make the night itself feel softer.

After dinner, he drove her home. Evelyn was spending another night with the Goodwin family, and they would do the final move tomorrow. Eleanor planned to keep her current place for now rather than selling it.

Early the next morning, Joslyn packed up the last few boxes. Gavin brought a moving crew over to transport everything to the new villa, where Joslyn began unpacking.

By the afternoon, the new house was finally in order. Eleanor took Joslyn to a nearby mall to stock up on essentials and get familiar with the area.
