No More Mrs. Nice Wife (Eleanor) novel Chapter 1519

"Good!"

Around six o'clock, Serena's car pulled up. Evelyn hopped out and immediately started running across the lawn. Hearing her little owner, Princess bolted out of the house to greet her.

"Princess!" Evelyn cheered happily.

Eleanor and Ian walked out of the living room. Seeing the heartwarming scene of the child and the dog playing in the garden, they both smiled.

"Daddy, Mommy!" Evelyn ran over, throwing herself into Eleanor's arms. "I love the new house!"

Eleanor stroked her daughter's hair. "We'll be living here from now on."

"Yeah! Living here with Daddy!" Evelyn emphasized, as if the words triggered her old memories of being surrounded by the love of both parents.

Hearing the sheer joy and attachment in his daughter's voice tugged at the softest corner of Ian's heart. He crouched down to eye level. "That's right. Daddy's living here too. From now on, I'll drop you off at school, pick you up, and protect you."

Evelyn's eyes sparkled as she nodded enthusiastically. "Okay!" Then, remembering something, she added, "Daddy, you promised to take me to see Vivian tomorrow, right?"

"That's right. Tomorrow I'll take you to see Vivian and Mr. Vaughn. We're all going on a picnic," he smiled.

"Yay! I finally get to see Vivian!" she jumped up and down.

Serena walked over and greeted her. "Hi, Ellie."

Evelyn turned to her. "Auntie Serena, we're having a picnic with Mr. Vaughn tomorrow. Do you want to come?"

Serena's smile instantly froze. She pressed her lips together and shook her head. "I'll pass. I have a lot of work to catch up on!"

But the past year had forced her to grow up. Her entire mindset had shifted.

Even though they were equals in social standing, Xavier's excellence was something she couldn't match, no matter how hard she tried.

Now, she just wanted to stay grounded, focus on her own life, stop causing trouble for her brother, and stop chasing after things that didn't belong to her.

Taking a deep breath, she stepped on the gas. The setting sun caught her face, highlighting features that had shed their childish arrogance in favor of a quiet, mature grace.

Back in the villa, Joslyn was cooking dinner, while Evelyn filled the new house with cheerful chatter and laughter.

As Joslyn bustled around the kitchen, she glanced toward the living room with a satisfied smile. Finally, there was hope for this family to be whole again.
