No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 190

Chapter 190 Keep Things Easy

Hearing Alfred pick on Marshal yet again, Nella felt speechless and conflicted.

She looked at him and asked, “Are we going or not?”

Alfred looked at Nella’s calm expression, her complete lack of interest in arguing.

It was as if everything he was doing was nothing more than childish tantrums in her eyes.

“You won’t even argue with me anymore?” he growled.

The corners of his eyes turned red.

Nella didn’t reply. She looked at him, baffled and puzzled.

After half a second of thought, she said, “What’s there to argue about? Did you forget what the contract says? Don’t cause unnecessary trouble for each other. Don’t argue over trivial matters.”

Nella clearly recited the contract clauses right in front of him.

“You wanted a wife who doesn’t make your life harder. If we fight over something this small, how is that making things easier for you?”

After saying that, she looked at the growing anger on Alfred’s face with a puzzled look and muttered, “You’re really strange.”

Alfred couldn’t take it anymore.

“You keep bringing up the contract! Is that all you see?!” Alfred roared again.

That pent-up frustration made him miserable.

And yet, while he was boiling with anger, Nella looked at him like a detached bystander.

She was calm and indifferent. Like she was watching a spoiled kid throwing a tantrum on the ground.

“Then what else? Didn’t you say that for the next month, everything would follow the contract?”

Nella spread her hands helplessly. “Look at you, getting worked up again.”

Alfred was speechless.

“Nella, are you trying to piss me off before the divorce so you can inherit my estate?”

Nella rolled her eyes.

If it were really that easy, it wouldn’t be a bad idea.

“Are we going or not?” Nella asked again, expressionless.

In the end, Alfred gave in.

He knew that no matter how much he exploded, or even if he rolled on the ground in protest, Nella would only watch him coldly.

“Go! We’re going now!”

Alfred pointed at the passenger seat. “Get in.

“Don’t even think about sitting in the back like I’m your driver,” he added with a cold expression.

Nella shrugged indifferently and didn’t bother wasting time arguing over something so minor.

She walked around and got into the passenger seat.

On the drive to Keywood Estate, Alfred kept a dark look, stewing silently, occasionally glancing at the woman beside him.

Deep down, he still clung to a ridiculous hope that Nella would speak to him gently like before and soothe him.

Just one sentence. No, even half a sentence would do.

But the woman beside him remained immersed in her own world, not sparing him a single glance.

Just then, a notification sound came from Nella’s phone.

That one-message-at-a-time style made it obvious who it was.

Just hearing the sound made Nella want to smile.

Alfred was already seething. That familiar sound sent the anger he’d barely suppressed rushing back to his

head.

Unable to hold it in, he turned to look at Nella and didn’t miss the smile blooming on her face.

His heart was stabbed all over again.

She could smile so happily for another man, yet kept a cold face with him.
