Chapter 193 Camelia’s Puppies
Only now did Alfred seem to suddenly realize it.
His chest ached, panic creeping in.

By contrast, when Nella heard Larissa say those things, she looked completely detached, like an outsider.
“What are you all standing around at the door for?”
Just then, another female voice sounded behind them.
“Hey, Sebastian, Priscilla.”
Larissa was the first to speak in greeting.
The newcomers were Alfred’s father, Sebastian Keywood, and his stepmother, Priscilla Keywood.
“Dad, Priscilla.”
Alfred pressed down the bitterness in his chest and greeted them.
Nella followed and greeted them as well, “Sebastian, Priscilla.”
Priscilla looked a little surprised when she saw Alfred.
She smiled and teased lightly, “Alfred, it’s rare to see you come home with Nella today. I thought you’d been called away again by that girl from the Macks.”
Compared to Larissa’s roundabout jabs, Priscilla’s words were much more direct.
They also made Alfred, who was already unsettled, feel even more awkward.
Priscilla seemed not to notice and walked up to Nella, saying, “I knew you were coming, so I had the kitchen make some dishes you like today. Come on in. Regis has been waiting for a while.”
“Okay, thank you, Priscilla.”
Nella followed Priscilla into the house.
Sebastian lagged a step behind, shot his son a meaningful look full of reproach, snorted coldly, and said, “Well, this is rare. Why aren’t you accompanying that one from the Macks today?”
Then he suddenly put on a look of realization and added, “Oh, right. I almost forgot. I heard Zoey was taken to the police station today, so she didn’t get a chance to look for you. No wonder you had time to accompany your wife.”
After his round of sarcasm, Sebastian followed them inside.
Alfred stood there, dumbfounded.
This couple really is something.

Chapter 193 Camelia’s Puppies
Are they worried Nella won’t leave me fast enough, so they had to pile on like this?
At 28, Alfred suddenly missed his mother.
Alfred stood outside for quite a while before finally stepping inside.

After hanging up his coat and entering the living room, he saw Camelia holding her phone out in front of Nella, talking animatedly.
She looked so fired up, like the head of some pyramid scheme.
“Nella, look. Isn’t my puppy super handsome?”
Nella wasn’t very interested in male models, but seeing Camelia so enthusiastic, she didn’t want to dampen her mood.
“He is.”
“Right? And he’s got several brothers he’s close with. Their figures are all amazing. Come on, I’ll show you their photos.”
As she spoke, Camelia opened an album titled “Camelia’s Puppies” and flipped through a whole stack of photos.
“Pick one. Whoever you like, take him. All of them have great waists and tons of stamina. I guarantee they’re way more fun than Alfred.”
Nella felt awkward and was just about to politely decline when she heard Alfred roar, “Camelia!”
Camelia jumped at his shout and hurriedly closed the “Camelia’s Puppies” album.
“You scared the hell out of me.”
She wasn’t nearly as slick as she’d been a moment ago.
Camelia clutched her phone and hid it behind her back.
They were all her precious babies. She couldn’t let Alfred confiscate them.
Alfred was already walking over with a dark face, holding out his palm. “Give it to me.”
“No.”
