No Renewal My Contract Husband (Nella and Alfred) novel Chapter 207

Chapter 207 Terrible Friends

“Then why don’t I just marry Zoey already?”

Argh, I’m so damn angry!

“Yeah, why not?”

Jesse asked without thinking, successfully earning himself an icy glare from Alfred.

In the end, Mason couldn’t stand how stupid his buddies were anymore and stepped in to smooth things

over.

“Alright, alright. We know you don’t have those kinds of feelings for Zoey.”

Alfred kept a straight face and didn’t say another word; he just held the bottle and kept drinking in silence.

“But… weren’t we supposed to be helping Alfred figure out how to get Zoey out of detention?”

Alfred paused.

He shot Jesse another cold look and ground his teeth as he snapped, “Who the hell told you I’m trying to get Zoey out?”

Jesse seemed utterly confused.

Ryan nudged him. “I told you that couldn’t be it. If Alfred wanted to get someone out, would he need us to come up with ideas? That’d be done in minutes.

“You know how polished and untouchable Alfred is.”

Jesse suddenly leaned in and whispered, “What do you mean? He just/swore.”

Ryan was stunned.

No wonder Claire says her brother’s an idiot who never gets the point.

Is that really the issue here?

Wait…

“Holy shit!”

Ryan suddenly thought of something and jumped to his feet. “I even told Claire I was helping Alfred figure out how to get Zoey out. She’s gonna rip me apart when I get home. She’s finally been a little nicer to me lately.”

As he spoke, he grabbed his jacket and headed for the door.

“I’m heading out first. You guys stay with Alfred a bit longer.”

By the time he finished speaking, he was already out of sight.

Chapter 207 Terrible Friends

Finished Jesse stared at Alfred’s dark, cold eyes. His newly grown brain told him he’d probably screwed up big time.

So he awkwardly cleared his throat and said, “Well, uh… My girlfriend’s waiting for me at home too. I’ll head out first as well.”

Once Jesse left, the other guys he’d dragged along also stood up to leave.

“Well… I’m heading out too. My mom doesn’t let me stay out too late.”

“My wife doesn’t let me hang out with idiots-uh… I mean, doesn’t let me mess around outside. I’m leaving

too.”

They all scattered in a flash.

Only Mason was left behind, the fellow sufferer, casually fiddling with his phone while watching Alfred drink alone.

“Aren’t you going to help look for Marshal?”

As soon as Mason finished speaking, Alfred stopped drinking.

He looked at Mason like he was an idiot.

Nella’s boy toy vanished, and I, the lawful husband, should go help find him?

Am I crazy, or has the world gone crazy?

“Maybe if you help find Marshal, Nella’s attitude toward you will improve.”

Mason offered a terrible suggestion.

Alfred really wanted to smash the bottle in his hand over Mason’s head.

No normal person could come up with such a rotten idea.

Help look?

He wished the male side piece would disappear from this world forever.

Mason kept tempting him.

“Come to think of it, Nella’s been keeping that puppy outside for a while now, hasn’t she? Haven’t you ever thought about checking it out?”

Alfred’s drinking motion paused.

After a moment, he let out a scoff.

Use my resources to investigate a worthless side piece?

Is he worthy?

Do I look like the kind of person who lurks in the shadows, secretly spying on and tracking Nella’s private life?
