Chapter 229 Delete This
Now that he thought about it, Alfred hadn’t done anything wrong.
Nella was probably busy and not checking the internet. He needed to get that video offline fast.
“And find out who that couple is.”
His eyes flashed with a freezing glare.
“Make sure they don’t walk away from this.”
“Yes, sir! I’ll handle it.”
Sergio picked up speed and left the CEO’s office.
The Macks’ place…
“You’ve got to be kidding me. That mutt actually belonged to Nella?

Eileen stared at her phone, her face pale. The video was blowing up, and people online were already trying to dox her.
“What kind of nutjobs treat some stupid mutt like it’s sacred just because it’s Mr. Keywood’s brother-in-law?”
She shoved down her fear and started trashing the comments online.
Norris sat beside her with a deep frown, lighting one cigarette after another. The tension in his eyes was building.
He scoffed and looked over at her.
“That ‘brother-in-law’ thing came from Keywood Group’s official account. Do you think PR would post that without Alfred’s sign-off?”
Eileen’s expression twitched.
The implication hit her like a brick.
PR wouldn’t dare call the dog Alfred’s brother-in-law unless Alfred himself gave the order.
That basically meant Alfred was publicly backing Nella and admitting she was his wife.
Her chest tightened with panic.
“Honey, what do we do? The video didn’t show my face, but if Alfred really starts digging, I won’t be hard to find. What if he finds out it was me?”
Eileen was spiraling.
Last night, she’d been angry over their daughter’s arrest and had nowhere to vent. Then that stray dog crossed her path. She snapped. She didn’t think. She just lashed out.

Chapter 229 Delete This
There was no way she could’ve known it was Nella’s dog.
Norris’s frown grew deeper.
He didn’t have any answers either.

Their whole family had climbed up thanks to the Keywoods. If Alfred decided to come down on them, they wouldn’t last a second.
“What do you mean ‘find out? What’s Alfred trying to dig into?”
A voice rang out from the top of the stairs.
Zoey had come home. She’d spent the night in holding but had been released that morning.
There wasn’t any solid evidence tying her to what happened to Patrick. Chandler claimed he acted alone and just wanted to teach the kid a lesson, so the cops had nothing firm. She was out after 24 hours.
“Zoey!”
Eileen’s face drained even more color. She looked up at Zoey and started explaining what happened the night before.
“After the cops took you, your dad and I pulled every string we could. But they wouldn’t let you go. We even called Alfred, but he wouldn’t answer. I was panicking. I kept thinking about you stuck in some dirty cell. Then that stray mutt wandered over, and I just snapped!”
She spelled it all out.
“I didn’t know that bitch Nella owned the dog. I never thought anyone would film it and post it online.
“What do we do now? What if Alfred goes after me for her?”
Her voice broke as she buried her face in her hands and started sobbing in fear.
