Chapter 363 Tolina Is My Aunt

Everwell Medical Center wasn’t far from Apex-just about a 10-minute walk. Nella had planned to walk back
to campus.
But just as she stepped out of the hospital building, hurried footsteps sounded behind her, accompanied by Alfred’s anxious voice.
“Nella.”
She turned and saw Alfred quickening his pace to reach her.
“Aren’t you going to stay with Grandpa?”
He fell into step beside her, his gaze lingering on her face with a hint of something tender, before he quickly looked away.
“Your parents are already with him, so it’s fine if I’m not there.”
Nella nodded and kept walking.
“I’ll walk you back to campus.”
“No, it’s just a few steps. I’ll walk alone-think of it as a bit of exercise.”
She didn’t hesitate and refused.
Yet Alfred still walked beside her. “Thank you for today. Camelia told me that if you hadn’t performed first aid on Grandpa in time, things could have been much worse.”
Nella shrugged lightly. “It’s what I’m supposed to do. I’m a doctor. I’d help anyone in that situation. No need to thank me.”
Alfred lowered his gaze and, after a two-second pause, asked, “The person Camelia mentioned… Is he from your school?”
Hearing this, Nella understood exactly what he was aiming for.
She didn’t answer him directly.
“Aşk Regis yourself when he wakes up. It’s his matter. I shouldn’t say too much.”
After all, she didn’t know who Tolina was. If she truly was Regis’s daughter, Nella, as the soon-to-be- divorced granddaughter-in-law, had no right to pry.
Especially, she could sense that Regis was deeply secretive about Tolina.
Otherwise, Camelia-already 22-wouldn’t still be unaware of her.
Alfred, seeming to guess Nella’s thoughts, said casually, Tolina is my aunt.”
He paused, then added, “Just like Dad and Aunt Larissa, he was born to Grandma.”
Nella’s eyes widened, then she nodded slowly.
Thinking back to what Wesley had told Regis, she sense there might be more secrets hidden in all this.

She didn’t intend to ask, but Alfred continued.

“I don’t remember much about her. When she left the family, I was less than two years old. I only heard whispers from the old servants at the mansion, but after Grandpa forbade her name from being spoken, she simply vanished.”
No wonder Camelia didn’t know about Wesley’s mother
Nella recalled the awkward expression on Wesley’s face when he had left earlier and felt a pang of concern.
She said to Alfred, “I’m heading back to school. You should get back to your work too.”
It was a subtle way to send him off. Alfred understood immediately.
Suppressing the shadow in his eyes, he nodded at her.
“Take care.”
“Mm.”
Nella quickened her pace toward campus to find Wesley
She found him crouched on the large lawn behind the science building, playing with Melon and Ginger.
She hesitated for two seconds, then approached. “Wesley.”
Wesley froze mid-motion.
Nella sat beside him, reached out to ruffle Melon’s head and casually asked, “You okay?”
Wesley paused, then let out a light chuckle. His eyes, smiling, turned to Nella.
