No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 619

A moment later, Violet and Diana came back inside together.

Damian settled Scarlett onto the sofa but remained standing himself, not taking a seat.

No one had a chance to pay him much attention—their focus was entirely on Scarlett.

Violet took Scarlett's hand, her voice unusually firm, edged with frustration. "What were you thinking, going out alone this late at night? If something had happened to you, what would we have done?"

Scarlett's guilt sat heavy in her chest. She dropped her head, not knowing what to say.

Her silence only made things worse. Violet's voice tightened. "You know exactly what kind of man Vincent is. What did you think you'd accomplish by going there? Did anything change? He's still not letting Nathan go. At this point, I'd rather your brother sit in holding than have you beg that man and humiliate yourself."

Violet's face was dark, her emotions raw and unfiltered.

Diana's eyes were red-rimmed, her voice thick with worry. "Scarlett, Violet is right. Vincent is despicable. Going to plead with him only feeds his ego."

Henry nodded in agreement. "Exactly. There was no need for you to go. What if something had happened to you?"

Scarlett understood that their sharp words came from love. But that only made her feel worse.

This whole mess was because of her. Nathan was in trouble because of her.

She kept her head down, tears slipping down her cheeks. "I'm sorry."

The moment Violet saw her cry, the rest of her harsh words died in her throat.

She pulled Scarlett into a hug and said softly, "This isn't your fault."

Scarlett leaned into Violet's shoulder, her voice breaking. "But Nathan—"

Violet cut her off gently. "The one who put Nathan in this position isn't you. It's Vincent."

Scarlett didn't answer. She couldn't.

Through it all, Damian stood quietly to the side, watching the family wrap around Scarlett like a shield.

Only after the storm of emotion had settled did Henry seem to realize they'd left their guest standing.

"Mr. Langley, please, have a seat," he said, a little flustered.

Damian nodded politely. "Thank you, Mr. Theron."

Once seated, his gaze drifted to Scarlett. She looked back at him across the room.

Their eyes met. Damian offered a small, reassuring smile—a silent promise that whatever happened, he was there.

Something in Scarlett's chest shifted. She quickly looked away, afraid he'd see too much.

But he'd already seen it.
