No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 716

Ethan and Kylie were arguing upstairs—their voices carried down, though the butler couldn't make out the words.

When Ethan came down the stairs, the butler approached him promptly. "Mr. Warren."

Ethan glanced over, his voice rough. "Any updates?"

The butler shook his head apologetically. "Nothing yet, I'm afraid."

Ethan let out a weary sigh. "At this point... he could be long gone."

"He has always had luck on his side," the butler offered gently. "I'm sure someone's looking out for him. Who's to say he hasn't made a name for himself somewhere?"

A faint, tired smile touched Ethan's lips. "I hope you're right."

Stepping forward, the butler offered a steadying arm as they descended. "Miracles happen. I truly believe that."

"Do you?" Ethan murmured.

"Yes, Mr. Warren," the butler replied softly. "I do."

After dinner, Scarlett was curled up on the couch, scrolling through her phone. She was waiting—for a call, for a text, for him to walk through the door.

Two hours slipped by with no word from Damian.

She didn't reach out. She knew he'd get in touch once he was done, even if every passing minute made it harder to focus on the screen in front of her.

Then, her phone rang.

Without checking the ID, she answered, her voice bright with expectation. "Hello?"

But it was Vincent on the other end. "It's me."

Her tone flattened instantly. "What do you want?"

"Can you come down? I'd like to see you."

"Whatever you have to say, say it now," she replied coolly.

"Just come down, Scarlett. Please. Face to face."

"There's nothing left for us to talk about."

Hearing the finality in her voice, Vincent rushed out, "Come back with me. Let me take care of you."
