No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 781

Vincent froze the second he laid eyes on Sabrina. It had been ages since he'd seen her look so bright and radiant.

When they reached downtown, Vincent pulled over to the curb and got out to open her car door.

He slipped his hand into hers to steady her as she stepped onto the snow-covered pavement. Their shadows, one dark and one pale, tangled together beneath the deep night sky amid heavy falling snow.

The theater was only a short walk away, yet Vincent dragged his feet at an unhurried pace, as if lingering on purpose.

Sabrina suspected he cared deeply about appearances; he moved slowly simply because she looked polished enough to make him proud walking beside her.

The movie was set to start at eight, and they stepped into the theater at seven fifty-five. Sabrina had picked seats in the very last row, tucked away in a quiet corner where they would draw no unwanted attention.

At seven fifty-eight, two more people filed into the auditorium. Vincent glanced over out of routine and froze upon spotting Damian and Scarlett.

Damian carried a bucket of popcorn and two milkshakes in one hand, his other wrapped securely around Scarlett's wrist.

He was dressed in a tailored suit topped with a crisp wool overcoat for the evening, while Scarlett wore a cropped white puffy parka paired with a short skirt and tights underneath.

Her makeup was soft and understated, accentuating her delicate features and lending her a sweet, refined look.

Their seats sat near the theater's center, and their arrival pulled curious stares and quiet murmurs from surrounding viewers.

"Wow, that guy is so hot. His girlfriend is so lucky."

"She's gorgeous too. They make such a perfect match."

"I wish I had a boyfriend that handsome."

"I'd kill to swap places with that girl."

The constant chatter pricked at Vincent's nerves, leaving him restless and irritated.

Sabrina noticed his sour mood but said nothing, only casting him a quick glance.

The feature was a suspense thriller dotted with plenty of witty comedic beats, overall an enjoyable watch.

Sabrina got fully absorbed in the film, yet Vincent could not focus at all. He alternated between checking phone messages and passing the time on casual mobile games.

His inattention stung Sabrina, though she had no right to voice her frustration, so she fell silent and chose to ignore his cold detachment.
