No Second Baby No You Only Divorce (Scarlett and Vincent) novel Chapter 903

When he emerged, his gaze fell on the bed. The thin silk comforter couldn't hide the curves of Scarlett's body.

At that moment, heat rushed through him.

Vincent shuffled over in his slippers and sat on the edge of the bed, his gaze settling on Scarlett's face.

Her eyes were tightly shut, as if she wanted nothing to do with him.

Meanwhile, Scarlett's mind drifted back to what had happened moments earlier.

After Vincent had laid her on the bed, he had braced both hands on either side of her body, yet for a long time, he had done nothing.

Just as she had expected, he hadn't touched her.

After a long while, he had finally straightened and said, "Wait for me. I'm going to take a shower."

Then he had strode into the bathroom.

Scarlett had stared in that direction. She had heard the faucet running, but she had also heard the click of a lighter.

Vincent must be miserable right now.

She had said long ago that there was no going back for them.

Vincent sat beside the bed. Seeing Scarlett lost in thought, he reached out, took her cold hand, and said, "Go take a shower, too."

Scarlett finally opened her eyes. Her round, dark eyes fixed on him. "I already showered. There's no need to do it again."

The fingers stroking the back of her hand suddenly stilled. Vincent said in a deep voice, "Take another one."

There was a faint note of command in his tone.

But Scarlett didn't comply. Instead, she asked with an amused smile, "Why are you so eager for me to shower? You still think I'm dirty, don't you?"

Vincent looked away in silence. "Go."

This time, his tone was unmistakably commanding.

Scarlett stopped arguing. She sat up and answered, "Fine. I'll go."

With that, she pulled back the comforter and got out of bed.

As she headed toward the bathroom, Vincent instinctively raised his head and watched her from behind.

There was a distinct red mark on her neck, probably left earlier when she and Damian had been in bed together.
