Once a Doormat Now Untouchable (Caleb and Sydney) novel Chapter 421

**When The Ocean Learned My Name and Whispered It Back to You by Aurelia Novel 421**

**Chapter 421**

As silence enveloped the scene, Penelope’s frustration boiled over, propelling her toward the car with a fierce determination. Each step was fueled by a growing fury, the tension in her body palpable as she raised her hand, poised to hammer on the window with unrestrained anger.

But before she could make contact, the door swung open with such force that it caught her off guard, sending her stumbling back, nearly losing her balance.

Penelope was accustomed to bending situations to her will, so this unexpected turn of events ignited a fierce humiliation that coursed through her veins like fire. Just as she was about to unleash her wrath, a tall figure emerged from the vehicle, his presence sharp and intimidating, casting a shadow over her simmering rage.

Recognition flickered in her eyes, extinguishing her anger in an instant. “You! You’re Mr. Sinclair from DK Pharmaceuticals, aren’t you?” she exclaimed, her voice a mix of surprise and indignation.

Tristan remained silent, his demeanor icy as he closed the distance between them with a predatory grace. In one swift motion, he seized her throat, slamming her back against the side of her car with a force that left her momentarily breathless.

The shock of the encounter left her gasping, her heart racing as she processed his fierce glare. His teeth were clenched, and he hissed through them, “Are you brain-dead? Who gave you the audacity to lay a hand on Sydney in Brimcrest City?”

Flint had been out of prison for a while but had refrained from making any moves against Sydney for very good reasons. A single reckless act could draw unwanted attention from the police, and for someone like Penelope, the risk simply wasn’t worth it.

Tristan had his own agenda, however. He intended to leverage Sydney’s influence to solidify DK’s position in Hoseon. But now, this fool’s reckless stunt had thrown everything into disarray.

Both the Jouleston and Brimcrest police were now scrutinizing DK, all thanks to her impulsive actions. For the time being, they would have to tread carefully, keeping their heads down to avoid further complications.

Regret began to seep into Penelope’s mind as she realized her hired driver had been apprehended. Blinded by a consuming hatred, she had acted impulsively, desperate to eliminate Sydney once and for all.

In retrospect, it had been sheer foolishness. Sure, Brimcrest wasn’t Julian’s or Caleb’s territory, but it still belonged to the Huttons, and Sydney was currently treating Florence. There was no way the Huttons would simply stand by and do nothing in the face of such an affront.

Yet, Penelope sought to reassure herself. She had leverage over the person who orchestrated this entire debacle. They wouldn’t dare expose her. But when had Sydney gotten entangled with Tristan?
