Once Cast-Off Wife Now Untouchable Queen novel Chapter 445

**A Message On Whatsapp 445**
**Chapter 445: George’s Desperation**

The mere mention of Aella’s name caused Tyrone’s long lashes to quiver ever so slightly, a subtle indication of the turmoil brewing within him.

He and Aella… the idea of them together felt utterly unattainable now.

Brad, sitting beside him, could sense the shift in Tyrone’s demeanor, the way the light seemed to dim in his eyes.

With a cigarette delicately pinched between his fingers, he absentmindedly rubbed his knee, searching for the right words. “Just level with me—what happened between you two?”

Before they had been on the verge of tying the knot, the two of them were inseparable, as if they were one soul inhabiting two bodies.

But then Aella had walked out of City Hall, and everything had spiraled into chaos.

Brad had attempted to extract the truth from Aella on several occasions, but she remained elusive, like trying to catch smoke with bare hands.

He had turned to Tyrone more than once, but the silence that followed was deafening.

It felt as though they were both intent on suffocating him with their secrets.

Finally, Tyrone glanced over, his expression a mix of frustration and resignation. “The wedding’s off. What else do you need to know?”

Aella had claimed that he didn’t love her, a sentiment that echoed in the minds of everyone around them.

Even Brad, in his quieter moments, had once believed it, too.

They had been childhood sweethearts; Aella had leaned on him for support since they were young, and he had taken for granted that she would always be there.

He had been certain—foolishly so—that no matter the circumstances, she would never walk away from him.

But she had left, and the finality of her departure had shattered his world. And now, she was thriving, moving on as if he had never existed.

Aella now spoke to him in a tone that felt foreign, one reminiscent of their innocent days, yet it drew an invisible line that he could never dare to cross.

He found himself trapped in a limbo, unable to retreat without harboring resentment, yet unable to move forward with any semblance of hope.

The weight of his past mistakes pressed heavily on his chest, a constant reminder of the betrayal he had inflicted upon her.

“Do you want to go grab a drink?” Tyrone asked, his voice strained under the burden of unspoken words.

Brad, however, didn’t start the car. Concern flickered in his eyes, a shadow that lingered.

“Listen, if you two can’t make it as husband and wife, then maybe it’s time to consider someone else,” he suggested, attempting to steer Tyrone toward a path of healing.

Tyrone turned to him, his brow furrowed. “If you’ve set your heart on one person, do you really think you could just swap her out?”

Brad felt the urge to argue, to defend his own perspective. “That’s not the same. I’ve only ever had Raine. You dated Zera. Don’t forget that.”

Tyrone’s patience snapped. “Good—then it has nothing to do with you.”

George watched as Tyrone stepped into the elevator, the doors closing with a finality that sent a chill down his spine. He hurried out of Winter Tower, feeling the weight of his failure.

After exiting the elevator, Tyrone dialed Raine, his thoughts swirling as he waited for her to pick up.

Over an hour later, at Evershade Manor, Anna was at home, consumed by worry over Zera, when George finally entered through the door.

She rushed to him, her eyes wide with expectation. “Well? Did Tyrone agree to drop the case?”

George’s irritation flared. “I told you—Tyrone isn’t someone to provoke. Your niece insisted on pushing him!”

Seeing his frustrated reaction, Anna sank onto the couch, her disappointment palpable.

“Last time, I lost 60 million dollars and had to give up the East-side parcel to help her. This time, Tyrone is determined to teach her a lesson. I can’t do anything more,” George warned, his voice heavy with resignation.

Realizing that George intended to distance himself from the situation, Anna’s composure crumbled, and she burst into tears.

Pointing an accusatory finger at him, she cried, “George, if you can’t get my niece out of this mess, I swear I’ll abort this child and leave right now!”

The word “abort” struck George like a lightning bolt, jolting him upright. “Anna—are you pregnant again?”
