Once Cast-Off Wife Now Untouchable Queen novel Chapter 446

**Chapter 446: Zera Is Her Daughter**

Anna’s gaze was sharp as she turned to George, her voice steady but laced with an undercurrent of tension. “The baby is already over three months old,” she began, her tone betraying a mix of excitement and frustration. “Someone checked for me—it’s a boy. I had intended to surprise you with this news, but honestly, you never seemed to care. So, I’ve made my decision. Tomorrow, I’m going to the hospital to terminate the pregnancy.”

George’s expression shifted, concern etching into his features as he instinctively drew her closer. “Listen to me, Anna,” he urged, his voice low and earnest. “If you can give me a child, I’ll divorce my wife immediately and we can have the grand wedding you deserve.”

Anna, feeling a surge of defiance, pushed him away with purpose. “I’ll keep the baby,” she declared firmly, “but you have to save my niece.”

The weight of her words hung in the air, and George’s face reflected his inner turmoil. Yet, he nodded, determination flickering in his eyes. “I’ll meet with Mr. Winter this afternoon. No matter the cost, I will get your niece out.”

A wave of relief washed over Anna, and she melted into his embrace, her heart racing. “I’ve sacrificed so much for you. I betrayed my friend for you. I’ve been by your side for years without a title, and you must save my niece,” she implored, her voice softening.

George, caught up in the moment, held her tightly and began showering her with kisses, his excitement palpable. “I haven’t seen you in half a month. Let me make this up to you,” he murmured, a hint of passion igniting between them.

Meanwhile, in another part of the house, a middle-aged couple was entangled in their own secret affair, oblivious to the chaos brewing outside.

At the entrance, Raine stood with the heiress of the Cunninghams, Rachel. Rachel’s fists were clenched, her face twisted in rage. “That bitch Anna! My mother treated her like a sister, and all the while, she’s been sleeping with my dad! I swear, I’m going to rip her apart!” she spat, her voice dripping with venom.

Raine, always the voice of reason, interjected, “Rachel, hold on. Mr. Cunningham is still your father. If you start a fight, he’ll certainly defend that homewrecker.”

Raine had a knack for stirring the pot, and she leaned in closer, her eyes glinting with mischief. “Let’s catch them in the act. While they’re still busy, call your mom. Tell her to bring your three aunts and two uncles.”

A mere ten minutes later, chaos erupted as George and Anna lay intertwined on the couch, their clothes in disarray.

George, breathless and blissful, murmured, “Don’t worry, Anna. If you give me a son, I’ll leave my wife and marry you.”

Anna seized the moment, her voice sweet yet insistent. “George, my brother died young, leaving behind two kids who’ve endured so much hardship. I have only one niece. You must help me save her.”

As the clock ticked toward the afternoon, Anna felt the weight of her past pressing down on her. Zera was not just any child; she was the product of a secret pregnancy during Anna’s student days, a truth known only to a select few.

At the same time, her sister-in-law, Shirley, toiled away at a mill, unaware of the storm brewing in Anna’s life. Shirley had gone into early labor due to the relentless demands of her job, and the doctor’s grim words echoed in Anna’s mind—Shirley’s baby hadn’t survived.

In a desperate attempt to cover the truth, Anna’s parents had orchestrated a C-section for her, taking the baby and lying to Shirley about the birth of a girl. Only Anna, her parents, and her brother shared this dark secret, a burden that had grown heavier over the years.

With her parents gone and her brother succumbing to cancer, Anna was left alone with her secret. She had deceived George, telling him he was her first and only lover, fearing that the truth would shatter the illusion of their relationship.

George sprang into action, attempting to shield Anna, but Jolene’s brothers overpowered him, tackling him to the ground and unleashing a flurry of blows.

“Anna!” Jolene shouted, her voice a mixture of betrayal and fury. “We’ve been classmates for years! I treated you like my best friend, and you had the audacity to seduce my husband?! You vile creature!”

Her sisters surged forward, their anger palpable. “Don’t waste your breath on her! Just take her down!”

They pinned Anna, tearing at her clothes and slapping her mercilessly.

In that moment, Anna’s instinct to protect her baby kicked in. She curled up, shielding her stomach, her heart racing. “George, help me!” she cried out, desperation flooding her voice.

For years, she had swallowed her pride, flattering everyone around her, playing whatever role was necessary to survive. Now, with her affair with George exposed, she knew she had to hold onto the baby and force him to leave his wife.

If she could keep the child, perhaps she could secure her place in the Cunningham family. Once she was married to George, her past would be buried, and no one would dare speak of it again.

George struggled to reach her, but the beating he had taken left him weak and unable to stand. The walls of their secret world were crumbling, and with every passing moment, Anna’s future hung precariously in the balance.
