*Chapter 447: Cut the Act**
George’s voice thundered through the room, the tension palpable. “It’s not illegal for me to keep a woman, but what your family is doing definitely is!” His finger jabbed in the direction of his wife, a gesture filled with accusation and fury. “I’ll sue every one of you. This marriage is over!”
The air crackled with hostility as Jolene’s two brothers erupted in outrage. “You jerk! We’ll beat you into the ground today!” Their voices were a mix of anger and protectiveness, each word a declaration of war against George.
The living room transformed into a battlefield, a cacophony of punches landing, screams piercing the air, desperate pleas for calm, and threats that hung heavy like a storm cloud. Chaos erupted in a whirlwind of emotions, each person caught in the tempest of their own feelings.
Raine stood at the doorway, her phone held high, capturing the madness unfolding before her. Her heart raced as she spotted Anna, curled up on the floor, taking the brunt of the violence without a word of protest. It was a sight that twisted her stomach. She pulled Rachel closer, her voice a low whisper, laced with urgency. “Your mom is losing it. You need to keep your head. Look at your dad—he’s getting pummeled but still shielding his side chick, even shouting about divorce. It seems he’s ready to toss you both aside.”
Rachel’s eyes widened in shock, yet determination flickered within them. Raine continued, “Take photos as proof. We need to document this. Then, find someone who can check their bank transactions. It would be best if you could apply for asset preservation.”
Grateful for Raine’s guidance, Rachel nodded and dashed into the fray, her phone clicking rapidly as she captured the turmoil.
Meanwhile, Raine sent all the evidence she had gathered to Tyrone, her heart pounding with the weight of the situation.
Eventually, amidst the chaos, George managed to break free. He threw himself over Anna, shielding her as if she were his last lifeline, and reached for his phone to call the police.
Raine’s voice cut through the noise like a knife. “Get your aunts and uncles out of here now, Rachel!”
Rachel acted swiftly, ushering her relatives out, leaving only her and her mother in the room.
Standing resolute beside Jolene, Rachel pointed an accusatory finger at George and Anna. “You cheated on my mom and betrayed her trust. I refuse to acknowledge you as my father!” Her voice trembled with emotion, yet it was laced with fierce defiance. “If you drag my uncles and aunts to the station, I’ll post this woman’s naked photos online for every guy to see!”
Anna’s face drained of color, her eyes wide with fear. She reached for George, desperation coating her words. “It’s our fault, George. I already feel terrible. I’ll take the blame.”
“Rachel is your daughter. Don’t destroy your relationship with her because of me.”
Jolene, overwhelmed by grief, collapsed onto the floor, her tears a silent testament to her pain.
With a fire ignited within her, she glared at them, her voice dripping with venom. “You fake bitch! Cut the act!”
Jolene rose to her feet, fury propelling her forward. She approached them, her teeth clenched, and directed her anger at George. “My family helped yours gain entry into the Eight Great Families, and we can erase you from Vleka just as swiftly. We can divorce. But let me be clear—half of everything you own belongs to me. Every house, every coin—I’m taking my share!”
George’s face flushed with rage, disbelief etched across his features. “You think you can take half of my money? Not happening!”
Rachel interjected, her voice steady and resolute. “Mom isn’t the only one entitled to a share—I’m claiming my part of the Cunningham Group too!”
