Once She Came Like a Flash novel Chapter 84

**Faith Didn’t Survive Time – by Aadi Sharma**
**Chapter 84**

Renee’s fingers flew across her phone screen as she sent the incriminating photos to Alison. “Print these out immediately and get them over to the Nurture Children’s Welfare Center,” she instructed, her voice steady but her heart racing with anticipation.

At first, Renee had considered giving Adam a chance to maintain some semblance of dignity. But the way he had conducted himself left her no choice. His heartlessness made her feel no remorse for the ruthless path she was about to walk.

The images she had sent were damning—captured moments of Kayla and Adar in tender embraces, their laughter echoing through the frames, and two intimate shots that left nothing to the imagination. They were in bed together, blissfully unaware of the storm brewing outside their little world.

“Holy crap, are you seeing this?” one voice broke through the murmurs of disbelief that surrounded the crowd.

“Adam is cheating while married!” another exclaimed, incredulity lacing their tone.

“No way! I thought they were already divorced! This is just a normal relationship. Renee’s tactics are way too low,” a third voice chimed in, trying to justify Adam’s actions.

“Isn’t this invading their privacy?” someone else questioned, a hint of concern creeping into their voice.

As Adam’s gaze fell upon the photos, all color drained from his face. He turned to Renee, panic etched across his features. “W-When did you find out?”

His eyes darted to the images, and recognition washed over him as he identified familiar locations—places from just a month ago. The realization hit him like a cold wave; Renee had been aware of the truth for an entire month and had chosen to remain silent.

“You snake!” he spat, his voice trembling with a mix of anger and fear.

“Renee!” Kayla’s voice cut through the tension like a knife, her fury palpable as she pushed Alison aside. Her hand shot up, ready to strike.

But before Kayla could make contact, Renee was quicker. With a swift motion, she delivered two sharp slaps across Kayla’s cheeks, the sound echoing in the suddenly hushed room.

“Who do you think you are? You’re the homewrecker here! What gives you the right to act like you’re in the right?” Renee shot back, her eyes blazing with indignation.

“Renee, what are you doing?” Adam yelled, stepping in front of Kayla protectively. “We’re already divorced! This is just a normal relationship!”

Nearby, Jasper leaned casually against a tree, a pair of silver-gray sunglasses perched on his nose. He chewed on a cigarette, a crooked grin spreading across his face as he watched the drama unfold with evident amusement.

Simon shook his head in disbelief. “Ms. Whitley is incredible. She’s been pulling all the strings behind the scenes, leading everyone exactly where she wants.”

Jasper raised an elegant eyebrow, a faint, seductive smile playing at the corners of his lips, clearly enjoying the spectacle.

In the midst of the chaos, Adam found himself frozen, his eyes glued to the divorce papers in Renee’s hand. His plan had been to announce their divorce publicly today, a desperate attempt to salvage his family’s reputation, followed by a private apology to Renee—no matter how humbling it might be for him.

But who could have foreseen that things would spiral so far out of control?

And when had those divorce papers even been signed?

“The divorce papers are signed. Even if you haven’t officially filed them yet, it doesn’t change the fact that you’re no longer part of the Graham family!” Irene interjected sharply, her shock palpable. The revelation that Adam and Kayla had been secretly seeing each other struck her like a lightning bolt, leaving her reeling.
