Isolde’s landing caused a fierce gale to blow outwardly through the field that had been flattened by the Skinless Hell Cavalry. There were about four thousand of them.
Edwin was taxed with teleporting the weaker students, while those who had the chance made a run for it on the backs of their summons.
Manhattan, Fukushima, and London High elites couldn’t hold back four thousand high tiers, they would be crushed.
All they were doing was trying to buy time for weaker students to get out and for aid to arrive.
"He’s alive," Ivy said as tears spilled from her eyes. Isolde’s golden-orange eyes gleamed as white scales covered her soft skin, and dragonfly wings sprouted from her back, allowing her to fly above the next wave of Hell Cavalry still pouring down from the red gate.
The dragonfly wings allowed Isolde to hover mid-air while Nyx screeched and planted its six sleek legs like black steel poles into the earth, swinging its long tail and sweeping lots of Hell Cavalry away.
Ten purple portals appeared in the sky, and from them, meteors fell out, crashing into the very bottom of the red gate where the greatest number of Skinless Hell Cavalry were located.
Even as they charged, the explosions caught up to them.
Arlo’s Sidewinder slithered like a golden blur, leaving corpses it had bitten, torn apart by its fangs or poisoned until they withered into bones.
Not far from it was Snow, releasing waves after waves of silver glimmers that caused great explosions, blowing several high tiers into bloody parts.
Nyx swiftly shot into the air, unleashing one last meteor, roaring with flames as it streaked toward the heart of the horde once more, but something massive burst out of the red gate, blocking the meteor with its hard exoskeleton.
This creature was a gigantic centipede body attached to a humanoid torso which had massive arms and a head.
It wrapped white cloth like a cloak around its head, revealing only one crimson eye while the other remained hidden.
Its skin was pitch black, matching the ink-black sheen of its centipede part that stretched over a hundred feet.
Its thousands of legs had a crimson sheen like they had come fresh out of a volcano. Its eye alone caused the summons of Snow, Jon, Rick, Damien, Tyla, Vin, Ren, and others, except Arlo and Isolde, to freeze, as if a huge weight was upon them.
This dungeon boss was clearly demonstrating its dominion.
"To demonstrate such might... that has to be a mid-level King tier dungeon boss," Evangeline said before straining her eyes toward the gauge.
"11.0!"
Sebastian clenched his hand tight. As powerful as he was, the power of an Invincible was only potent against opponents below their strength.
His summon’s factor leaned heavily into Trick, and now that he had risen to an 11.0 King tier, he was invincible to those below.
Anything, as long as it wasn’t beyond twenty-four hours, could be reversed as long as he willed it. But when it came to physical capabilities, he would be no match for that dungeon boss.
However, as long as he stood, it could not kill them either. It would take a higher power, like that of Isolde’s Dragonfly, to negate his innate skill.
Seeing the monstrous size of this dungeon boss and the two ten-foot, statue-like beings without facial features, each holding an even longer halberd, the same kind that nearly took the life of Ivy’s dragon, made everyone’s expressions more grim.
