Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 160

Chapter 160: First Clash

"I’ve never seen this many soldiers in Brooklyn, and these are the elite kind. What’s going on?" a freelancer riding a horse whose mane was made of ice spikes asked with a raised eyebrow as he watched the convoy drive into Brooklyn.

It was weird to see even one of them, and now there was a whole convoy full of Agents.

"I don’t know. Whatever it is, it’s not something people like us can interfere with or even know about," someone else replied solemnly.

The convoy attracted glances and caused discussions until it vanished into a blue gate.

"They entered the new blue gate dungeon?! I knew there was something odd about that first group. If the Authorities could send such troops, they want to achieve their goal at all costs!"

A freelancer who sold weapons said strongly.

All the armoured trucks came to a halt after moving through the underground passage.

"This is where the Vagabonds call paradise?" Henry lifted an eyebrow.

"I won’t say I’m surprised. What more did we expect from people who flee from society?" he added.

"It can’t be here. This dungeon was claimed to have opened recently. It’s impossible for the Vagabonds to be here. I feel we have been lured," Amber said while looking around. All she could see were abandoned buildings with lots of greenery growing within most of them.

"Have the airborne squad move out," Amber ordered.

Bram relayed her command and one of the truck roofs opened up.

Five agents came out and jumped down. Midway, each summoned a pegasus, and the winged horses neighed before dashing forward.

After a few steps, they unfurled their wide, feathered wings and flapped once, blasting the air outward as their hooves left the ground. With the second flap and the third, they were already soaring beyond a two-story building. All five of them went high into the air, beyond the tall buildings.

"Follow them. Ready the machine guns," Amber gave her next order, and machine guns popped out of their chambers as agents mounted them.

While the convoy resumed its journey, in one of the trucks, Dale looked at Lucy, who sat there absent-minded.

"Hey."

Lucy turned toward him and her face went cold.

"Why did the headmistress say Isolde isn’t allowed to come with us? Don’t tell me she’s still into a homeless and futureless Vagabond?" Dale spat.

Orwen, who wore a white hoodie, lifted his head. "I’d get it if he didn’t become what he is now. I mean, that Godfrey wasn’t bad at all. Now... he’s just a mass murderer. His kill count might be closing in on a thousand. That’s too much to keep as a friend."

"He’s not your friend," Lucy retorted.

"Oh?!" Others looked at her.

"My father is amongst those he killed!" one of her classmates rose to his feet, glaring at her with hate.

"See that?" Leander said with an authoritative tone as he crossed his arms. Siegfried rose to his feet while chuckling.

"Alright, alright. Let’s say we did cross the line once or twice but... that doesn’t excuse him or give him the right to kill. Wasn’t he good at showing mercy? Or was that just a ploy? He was just hiding the murderous, angry killing machine inside."

Siegfried squatted before Lucy as he spoke, his breath irritating her.

"Get lost."

Siegfried scoffed. "I know you’re not weak anymore, but look..." He pointed at the others. "Not a single person here supports you. So why don’t yo—!"
