Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 189

Chapter 189: Spear Queen

The mother tilted slightly toward her child, narrowly and unknowingly evading death as the arrow pierced through the wood beside her.

The sound made the wood elf rise up, but as her eyes snapped toward the window, another arrow struck her forehead.

There wasn’t even a drop of blood as frost spread out. The snow elf nocked another and killed the child while the father stood outside with other Wood Elf soldiers, racing to engage the Snow Elf assassins.

A figure with pure white hair and black leather armour came out of a swirling portal, his shadow looming over the dead mother and child as moonlight spilled through the window.

He brought out a small red ball, threw it up, and vanished. The moment the ball hit the floor, the small wooden home was set ablaze.

While other homes experienced the same thing, the snow ranger captain stood in one of them. "The humans. Where are they?" she asked an elf girl who was on her knees, covering in fear as three dark-armoured snow elves, beings that had hunted them for as long as she knew, stood before her.

"T—they’re... they’re..."

"Quench those flames!" Lysander bellowed as he dashed forward with an intricate silver axe attached to a long, slender pole in his hand. Watching as more homes roared in flames, Lysander’s eyes reddened.

He dashed into the chaotic skirmish ahead, swinging his axe in rage. A snow assassin popped up behind him, only to be grabbed by Lysander and slammed into the snow-covered ground.

"Get Tindra now!" he yelled toward another wood elf, who swiftly turned and dashed away from the battlefield, only for an arrow to find its way to his neck!

Lysander’s eyes widened. He sliced a snow elf’s thighs, decapitated him, and lifted up his axe to block an incoming arrow.

’How come Snow Elves are here? Why didn’t Evander warn us?!’ Lysander clenched his teeth harder as he realised his friend might already be dead. They did not expect this ambush.

Even though the house he gave those humans wasn’t that close to the town, they should have noticed this chaos by now.

Where were they?!

"This is the place Tindra showed us earlier," Isolde said to Godfrey as they came out from the cluster of tall trees into an area void of trees.

It had a natural pond, glistening under the moonlight. Isolde squatted, dipped her fingers into the water, and exhaled with both relief and joy.

"It’s warm."

Godfrey looked back. "It’s a good distance away from the town." he said, "How ar—?!"

Halfway, he froze and swiftly turned away as Isolde removed her clothes. Luckily, she was just about to remove her camo pants, so he only saw the back of her torso, but her skin tone and the curve of her waist made him question if this beauty was truly his.

"You know we can be considered a married couple according to the tradition of my family," Isolde’s voice rang as she giggled.

"Can I turn now?"

"What? You don’t want to look at your wife’s body?" Isolde responded.

"Stop the tease," Godfrey said and turned. He saw Isolde’s head and neck. From that point downward was in the pond.
