Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 230

Chapter 230: Dreadful Knight

As the sword spirit’s blade tore through the chainmail that protected his neck, a scene flashed in Ballista’s mind.

He saw a vast space somewhere in the castle with thousands upon thousands of Golden Order Knights on one knee, unit by unit, all petrified, and behind them loomed a throne with a dark silhouette sitting on it.

’My King...’

The sword spirit was about to slice off Ballista’s neck when Valentina forced her primal stag to interfere. It swung its horn at the spirit.

Although the Primal Stag was already an Origin Tier, none of its factors were invested in defence or offense, making its attack weak. Its main factors were healing and speed.

The sword spirit turned swiftly and grabbed the Primal Stag’s horn before flinging the huge creature, along with Valentina, to the wall of a building.

In that moment, a portal appeared beside Ballista and from it, Godfrey walked out. Before they even saw him, the aura of an Origin Tier swept out.

Godfrey saw his mother against the wall and his knight barely holding on to life. He laid a hand on Ballista’s pauldron.

"You did well."

As he retrieved Ballista back to his soul space, Godfrey’s eyes gleamed. So this was the handwork of Cain’s Fanatics, the same people who killed his father through a dungeon.

The skeleton centaur dashed at him. The summoner within it aimed to cut Godfrey down before he unleashed his summon but, to his shock, Godfrey grabbed his large, crescent blade.

His gleaming eyes went to the sword spirit that leapt toward him. He snapped the blade when the spirit was close, and it dispersed while the summoner within the centaur couldn’t believe his eyes.

Whatever was left of the skull Cavalrymen charged at him as the skeleton centaur took a step back. Dying now wouldn’t be worth it.

He should just go back and continue feeding. He’ll eventually be strong enough.

The centaur summoner gave Valentina one last glance before retreating, but he didn’t even take four steps when he spotted a knight.

The Knight’s cloak covered his entire armoured body but not the silver headed axe placed on the ground, while his gauntleted hand rested on the bottom of the axe’s long handle.

Long ears came out from both sides of the helm and above the visor were a pair of golden glowing eyes. Golden antlers, like that of the primal stag, branched off the top of the helmet.

"Who said you could leave?" Godfrey’s frosty voice made the Fanatic tilt his head. A dozen or more skull Cavalrymen were dead, brutally cut down by this human’s bare limbs!

A man cloaked in black robes, with a completely shaved head and full white beard, sat on a chair with four skull Cavalrymen flanking him.

The image of a full moon was tattooed on his forehead. He shot to his feet when he sensed Godfrey’s aura.

"Those fools can’t even get a job done. I should have made this quick." Mr. Lee, the Grand Black Moon, said with a furious yet controlled tone.

"Grand Moon." A summoner called out from his summon, one of the skull Cavalrymen.

Mr. Lee turned to the Cavalryman and then toward where it looked. His eyes widened at the sight of a knight on the hill.

Because of the terrain, some places went down, some up, and there were lots of small hilltops with wooden towers just for lookout.

On the cliff of one of the hilltops within the town stood a golden armoured knight.

The sun happened to be positioned behind him, so the light made it partially impossible to ascertain who or what stood there.

Solstice stood there, his short swords drawn out of their sheaths. He was his Crown Prince’s judgment given form.

His dragon eyes dilated as his armour turned crimson. The scale metal pattern became more draconic and fitted to his agile, towering frame.
