As the hyena lunged toward Isaac, claws tearing through the ground, Neila appeared before Isaac.
One of her spider legs shot forward, piercing the hyena’s head. She flung the dead summon away as blood dripped from the thief’s mouth.
His pupils shook and body froze as those eyes pierced deep into his soul.
"I didn’t summon you," Isaac said as Neila flashed, appearing before the thief with her hand around his neck.
"That’s what you’re talking about? He’s about to die, give me permission... I’m hungry," her crimson eyes gleamed.
Isaac folded his arms.
"What’s wrong with stealing from a thief?!" Neila pouted like a famished child.
’She’s not wrong,’ Isaac shrugged. "Alright."
Neila swiftly absorbed the thief’s memories until his eyes became blank. "Delicious." She squinted, casually tossing the man away before turning to the other thief.
Isaac also looked at the man who stared at them, terrified to the core.
"You couldn’t run?" Isaac raised an eyebrow.
"Can he?" Neila gently jabbed Isaac with one of her spider legs while walking past him, her eyes locked on the second thief.
She tilted her head. "Okay... you can run."
The thief fell to his knees. The force keeping him in place was gone. He crawled backwards, struggling to even get on his feet and run.
Isaac almost face palmed. So people like these existed.
"I don’t want you to run..." Neila spoke with a sweet, honeyed voice that made the thief stop.
She giggled and absorbed his memories while Isaac watched with both disbelief and slight terror.
"I didn’t give you permission to take his memories."
Neila rolled her eyes. "Oh, com’on." She turned, tilting her head, a move that made her silky white hair drop on her shoulder.
"Don’t you like getting stronger?" She blinked.
"I thought you hated me. Doesn’t seem like it."
"Oh, I’ll kill you the moment I’m certain I won’t die once that’s done," Neila smiled, waving her fingers at him.
"Bye." She returned to his soul space.
Isaac shook his head. In a way, he liked conversing with her even when their conversation didn’t usually last long due to her sharp.attitude.
Was this normal?
She was growing on him but Neila was a spider!
It had to be because they shared each other’s past memories and emotions, thus making them understand themselves.
She was a Titled god at the peak. According to her, this transfer gave her the opportunity to surpass this demigod level to become an Ancient, unfortunately she was now bound to him.
Isaac shook his head. Neila always diverted his mind toward her every time she appeared. Sighing, he looked at the hollow men lying on the ground, their eyes darting around, and walked away.

With a soft click, the door to Snow’s house opened and Isaac walked in. His eyes widened at the sight of the two sitting opposite Snow.
Godfrey and...
