Both of them looked at each other. They followed Rick to the door and watched him open it.
Godfrey and Isolde blinked at the sight of Isaac, Lucy, Rowana, and Snow.
"Isolde!!" Lucy leapt, hugging Isolde tightly as her eyes moistened. "You look so different now."
Her eyes were wide as she examined Isolde. Isolde smiled while Lucy went around her, her eyes growing wider.
"I thought I would cry, but I’m jealous at this point," Lucy said honestly. Isolde chuckled.
Lucy hit Godfrey’s arm lightly, then dragged Isolde inside. As Rowana went after them, Godfrey glared at Snow.
"You told her!"
"Why are you glaring at me?" Snow pointed at Isaac. "The blabbermouth is right here. When he saw Lucy, he couldn’t stop talking."
Isaac couldn’t face Godfrey. He lowered his head, completely embarrassed.
"Lucy isn’t a clone," he said in a muted tone.
Godfrey’s eyebrows furrowed.
"You can’t suspect everyone. You’ll end up shutting yourself to the world. It could be what Cain wants," Snow replied as he tapped Godfrey’s shoulder and walked in.
Godfrey shut his eyes and sighed.
Snow was right, but he couldn’t drop his guard.
"This mansion is all yours. Lucky man," Snow’s voice rang while Isaac bent and crept past Godfrey, who watched him with sharp eyes.
He didn’t know whether to laugh or be angry at Isaac.
As they all went in, Godfrey turned. He took a few steps when Rick’s voice flowed into his ears.
"I’ll prepare the gym."
"Go ahead. Call me when it’s time," Godfrey replied and went to meet the others in the living room.
When Godfrey sat down, Lucy, who sat with Isolde, faced him. "I was worried about you. After you left, paradise didn’t feel the same."
Godfrey looked at her. He didn’t know what to say.
"Percival left after you did, then Isaac was sent away. We were all together, then all of a sudden I was alone. As if that wasn’t enough, Captain Arian and his wife left the cohort."
"I suspected Arian wasn’t the captain any longer," Godfrey’s eyes narrowed.
Isaac forced a smile, but his head hung low. Lucy had informed him that Arian had left the cohort, and he blamed himself for it.
"The current Captain is a man who summons black knights, right?" Godfrey asked.
Lucy nodded. "Captain Saul now leads. He made us invade an orc world. Your father and mother were part of the team. We brought down two settlements but faced a horde, and they forced us to retreat."
