Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 346

Chapter 346: Legends Of The Golden Order Knights (5)

The Chief Fey Archer retreated, flying from one tree to another while the other five aimed their arrows at Mountain, who slowly lifted up his hammer. The blood slid down the metal in slow, heavy drops.

He exhaled, tightening his grip around his shield. In this State, he was a low-level Throne Tier, burning with energy that wasn’t his, and once this state was over, he would not be able to be summoned for a while.

But Mountain didn’t care.

He lifted his shield up and charged toward the five Fey Archers, kicking up sand and grass with each step, but then they shot their arrows.

When the arrows were about to strike Mountain’s shield, they suddenly sprouted into thick roots, the size of a man’s thigh, some even bigger, and grew violently outward.

In an instant, five huge trees grew out with Mountain at the epicenter.

He was pinned, locked within the confines of thick roots which quickly grew a trunk and formed leaves from the branches.

The Fey Archers had learnt.

They suspected hitting that shield might cause their attacks to be reflected back to them, so they swiftly used another skill that couldn’t be reflected.

Mountain grunted as the roots coiled tight around him, almost suffocating him and forcing his armour to crumple. The metal groaned under the pressure.

With another Cry of Anguish, the roots burst apart and he resumed his charge, but the Fey Archers were prepared.

All five of them shot arrows into the air and they bloomed before bursting.

A faint green fog shrouded the terrain almost immediately. Swallowing the forest in a spectral haze.

They were certain that the Cry Of Anguish took quite a substantial amount of mana and had expected him to use it in order to counter this second skill.

Mountain heard the swishes of arrows tearing through the air.

When they struck the earth, a tree would grow.

The Fey Archers continued until there were a lot of trees around him. In the midst of it all, Mountain stood.

Charging wasn’t an option anymore.

He would kill all these ones here. every last one.

He shut his eyes, sharpened his senses, and braced himself for an attack.

Time passed.

There was silence everywhere.

It seemed so peaceful, yet in this moment, a Fey Archer came out of a tree.

The Archer had no bow but a dagger.

The hilt was made of wood and the blade shone like sharpened obsidian stone.

Just as Mountain reacted to that Archer, another suddenly dropped onto him.

Roots burst out of the ground and wrapped around his weapons, dragging them to the ground while the last Archer came from behind him.

Mountain let go of his weapons at that moment.

They thought he would try pulling them, giving the Fey atop him the opportunity to plunge the dagger into Mountain’s neck.

Pulling at those weapons would create a lapse, a small moment where he wouldn’t be able to stop the Fey, but Mountain’s decision shattered their plans.

His large gauntleted hand swiftly grabbed the Fey above him and he slammed the Fey into the ground, generating a huge amount of dust. A thunderous impact split the silence.

That move alone snapped the Fey Archer’s neck.

Its eyes were wide with shock as its head bent in an awkward direction.

The others were already upon Mountain, blades gleaming.

Mountain reached out for his shield and hammer-axe, making their eyes gleam, but to their shock, black roots burst out of the ground, wrapping around their ankles.

It lifted them off the ground, dangling upside down, and Mountain’s hammer-axe came without mercy.

With a swift arc, both Fey Archers had their heads obliterated.

The other two were shocked.

This knight could copy their own ability all along!

Seeing this new development, they swiftly retreated, but Mountain wasn’t about to let go.

"You took the life of a child!" His deep voice echoed through the forest as the branches of a tree grabbed one of the Fey.

He could only turn to see the axe part of the hammer-axe met his chest, ripping right through his body!

The last one teleported through one of the trees and got out of range.

It ran as fast as it could, but the sound of Mountain bulldozing his way with an agility that did not match his size made the Fey Archer terrified. The forest itself seemed to tremble beneath his pursuit.

"I will take..." Mountain’s vengeful voice rang as he moved with increasing speed, only to brace himself with the shield and hit a tree, then he suddenly leaped.

The Fey Archer thought he must have slowed down after hitting that tree, but darkness suddenly fell on it.

Curious, the Fey, while running, slowed down and tilted its head upward.

What it saw was a huge black knight above him with those golden eyes that seared into his soul.

"...your life!" Mountain’s voice rang as he swung the hammer-axe downward, cleaving through the Fey with almost no resistance and landed so heavily it was like a huge stone fell from over a hundred feet. The ground shuddered beneath the force of his descent.

Then, Mountain heaved, eyes closed.

Whoosh!

An arrow grazed his helmet’s cheekplate as he managed to move his head at the last moment.

He had been able to react in time to the arrows of the other archers, but this one was different.

His eyes locked on the Chief Fey Archer heading toward him, its leaf-cloak fluttering.

Mountain hurled his shield at the Chief Fey.

As the shield spun at high speed, the boss went on his knees, sliding below it as the shield flew over him.

While sliding, it reached out for the quiver, unleashing an arrow.

Then another.
