Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 360

Chapter 360: Cracks In Space

"Very well then." Godfrey’s voice rang as he suppressed Mor with telekinesis, forcing the boss’s body to remain stationary as he swung his sword.

Although Mor couldn’t move, he covered his entire body in armour and grew even more muscular. ’I might not be at the peak of my tier, but I can rival anyone in this tier because my defence can’t be broken. I can’t be killed!’ Mor roared in his mind.

Godfrey’s sword met his neck. It chipped in but couldn’t go much deeper, yet that alone made Mor’s eyes widen.

"You cut my armour?!" Panic flashed in his eyes. If Godfrey could even nick his armour, then he was a threat that had to be brought down as fast as possible. And so, with all his might, Mor swung his head, aiming to drive his horns through Godfrey.

Still mid-air, Godfrey let go of his sword and held onto those horns. Slashing wouldn’t do much; Mor’s armour was almost impervious to that.

A thought flashed through his mind in this microsecond; had the Gate Defender’s Guild or any other team that didn’t have at least two or three Titled gods faced this, they would have been slaughtered.

Still, it didn’t mean much, since it was him.

It’s always a self-serving act when it was his doing.

Well... maybe it was.

Who cares anyway.

His fingers clamped tight on Mor’s horns. That forceful move was meant to either impale or launch him away, but holding onto the horns changed the outcome. His weight pulled Mor’s head down, as it wasn’t expecting this move. That was it, all Godfrey needed.

The moment his feet touched the sand, he slammed Mor’s face into the ground and placed one foot on the back of the werewolf’s head.

"I will remember this," he said.

Mor went mad. He burst out of the sand with rage that almost turned his blue eyes red and clawed at Godfrey. His target dodged, again and again, forcing him into a frenzy.

No one dared come close, as Mor’s attacks were catastrophic to the surroundings.

"Come on, is this all a supreme general can do?" Godfrey said, somersaulting over Mor’s head. It leaped, flinging its hand so it could grab his face, but Godfrey vanished at the last moment.

’I know this boss is strong, but it’s still a beast with unmatched arrogance, like a lot of us. Arrogance is part of the package of being strong, but some have lost it. However, this one does back up his claim with his defence, which, to be honest, is not entirely its ability. An ancient god’s existence granted it some kind of reinforcement that can block my slashes.’

Godfrey leaned back, watching Mor’s claws graze the chainmail around his neck. It gave the boss the feeling it almost had him, just to miss him again.

Mor might have formidable defences, but he wasn’t as fast. He wasn’t thinking either, just relying on honed instinct like a beast. That wasn’t bad, but Godfrey had come to understand, the higher you go, tactics and adaptability were key.
