Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 55

Chapter 55: Ice & Fire Of Nexus Club

After school hours, three upperclassmen walked into the school gym. Two walked at the front, the charming red-haired Lilith, Number Four in the Nexus Club, and a dark-skinned, tall boy with short white hair kept in a low cut.

He was Edric, Number Five in the Nexus Club, and behind them was Derek, holding both his backpack and the backpacks of the other two with a strained smile.

All three of them paused at the sight of Godfrey doing reps with a barbell. His perfectly chiseled body gleamed under the gym lights, muscles tightening and releasing with a grace that drew every pair of eyes.

His skin glistened faintly like gold forged and polished for years to become this enticing.

He was the center of attention as everyone either gossiped about him or stared at his flawless form.

They had never seen him here before, and yet he seemed to belong, as if the gym had been built for him.

Derek’s pupils shrunk at the sight of Godfrey. Lilith’s eyes gleamed with concealed thoughts as she made her way over, followed by Edric, whose expression was cold and unreadable.

"What’s going on?" some students began to whisper, watching Edric approach with wide strides.

"Did Godfrey provoke him? I heard he beat up some sophomores, but Edric’s not exactly close with any of them."

Their whispers halted when Edric grabbed the barbell, earning an upward glance from Godfrey.

"Reveal your summon."

Godfrey raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised. "What for?"

His eyes shifted toward Lilith, who giggled and sat on a nearby bench, crossing one leg over the other as she leaned forward.

"It’s not a question," she said with a smirk. "It’s an order."

Derek, who stood by the side, snickered inwardly. He wanted to see how Godfrey would come out of this one. Lilith was a powerhouse, her red wyvern summon possessed dangerously potent flames capable of reaching the ceiling.

In terms of skill, she was far above most. Members of the Nexus Club were sent on missions to clear difficult dungeons or suppress dungeon breaks alongside the authorities. Their combat experience was no joke.

On the other hand, Edric’s summon had exceptional self-regenerative abilities, making injuring it almost pointless. He also wielded the ability to generate ice, they were, after all, the ice and fire of the Nexus Club.

"No," Godfrey said firmly. "I refuse to reveal my summon at your order. I’ll do it when I feel like it."

Derek’s eyes bulged at the audacity.

"Really?" Edric sneered, tightening his grasp on the barbell. Frost spread from his fingers, coating the metal heavily before it burst into glittering shards.

The barbell’s durability was nothing before his ice.

"What about now?!" Edric grinned, his canines extending and claws forming at his fingertips as he prepared to move. But a calm, composed voice cut through the tension.

"Edric."

The single word froze him.

Hearing that voice, Lilith, Derek, and Edric all turned toward the entrance, and saw Jon standing there with his knight, Yuan.

"What are you doing?" Jon asked. His tone wasn’t loud, but it wasn’t a question either. The slight frown on his face was enough to make Derek wish he could vanish.

"It’s the King!" someone gasped.

Audible whispers and gasps rippled through the gym as Jon made his way toward Godfrey. He stopped before him and stretched out his hand.
