Others Summon Dragons, I Summon Legendary Knights novel Chapter 70

Chapter 70: Attack At Night

What Scott had released was the final toxin which would make Valentina and Victoria’s illness deteriorate extremely, with intense fever, pains and weaknesses at the joints, vomiting, hallucinations, and much more.

This was a trait of his summon that he hid. He wasn’t a healer like many others, his summon knew how to absorb pain and take away the wound, but it didn’t heal them. All that pain and sickness were absorbed, refined, and used to strengthen his summon’s innate skill, which was to spread undetectable and vile health issues.

Mr. Scott cleared his throat. "Should I arrange the men?"

"Of course," Dean replied. "We should end it all tonight before the public knows she harboured the thought of resigning."

After giving his mother and Victoria their medication, Godfrey was shocked to discover that a short while later, their health state grew even worse.

His mother had an intense fever, while Victoria vomited so much he began to panic. To even move them from their rooms to a different place became a huge problem, as they had difficulties moving.

He couldn’t understand how they both fell this ill. For sixteen years, Godfrey had never seen Victoria fall ill. His mother, on the other hand, always suffered from cold in a season like this, where it rained a lot, but it had never been this bad.

Once Godfrey was out of options, he went to take the car keys, and from the floor-to-ceiling window, he gazed into the night.

The calm drizzle seemed to water the world, but his eyes narrowed when a black van parked beside the fence of his compound.

He drew close to the window, his face turning grave as nine men in black jumped over the wall. Watching them leap unnaturally high and land with ease, he knew these were summoners.

They wore black masks with white skulls, but one of them had a crimson skull and he held a pistol.

Godfrey squinted.

The one with the crimson skull pulled out a curved sword and, with a horizontal swing, unleashed a crescent arc that sliced through the maze, incinerating the grass even under the drizzle.

He looked at his men and they advanced toward the door.

Crimson Skull pointed his gun, which had a silencer, at the door and fired, destroying the lock before slowly moving in.

"I heard they’re three, two women and a boy," he said. "The boy shouldn’t be as ill. But he should be sleeping. Two of you go up, kill the bodyguard and—"

A bright golden light made them turn to the door still left open. Out in the yard, a towering hunk of steel with a sword bigger than a man walked out, his golden eyes humming with electricity from within the darkness of his hood.

The assassins suddenly felt small before this eight-foot humanoid tank who lifted his sword and pointed it at them.

One of them lost control of his body. A strange force pulled him backward, right into Tempest’s gauntleted hand.

Tempest held the man’s head, lifting him off the ground as golden lightning coursed through the assassin’s body, so much that it spread on the ground, spreading through the water.
