"So what if I was following you?" Walker Grant said in a low, dangerous voice. "Compared to what you did, this is hardly over the top, is it?"

Chloe Reed’s expression turned cold as well. "What’s the matter? Are you not satisfied?"

"Chloe Reed!"

A vein bulged on the man’s temple. He ground out her name through clenched teeth, grabbed her wrist, and yanked her in front of him.

"You sent a woman to me, and you have the nerve to ask if I’m satisfied? I’m your husband! The man you married is me, and this is how you treat me?" Walker Grant felt like his heart was about to explode in his chest.

Rage, disbelief, sorrow... Now, looking into her calm, placid eyes, his fury only burned hotter.

His grip on her wrist was tight, and Chloe Reed felt a sharp pain.
